This looks really good! But I'm a bit hesitant to start without all the episodes being out because the general premise reminds me of The Light in Your Eyes and I don't want to bawl my eyes out 😅

Any recommendations for dramas where the male lead is similar to Seo Jun?

Hey! It’s strangely nerve wracking to offer recommendations but I hope at least one of these works for you! (I bolded my personal favorites)

These dramas have the mafia element/one of the mains is involved in organized crime:

These dramas aren’t similar plot wise to the second couple in TML but for whatever reason give me similar vibes when watching:
* Just Between Lovers
* Mask
* Game Maya

These are sort of random recommendations but are really good:
* Devilish Joy
* Lost Romance

These dramas are ones you have seen based on your watchlist but I wanted to include in case anyone else was also looking for recommendations:

* Vincenzo (this one is a slow burn romance)

* Behind Your Smile
* Lion Pride (this one is worth watching just for the OST)

I really enjoyed this show even with some of the leaps in logic and plot holes. Like others I came to this show from clips of the second couple on YouTube (I would love a drama where they were the main pair) but I really enjoyed both couples relationships. I liked how devoted the couples were to each other, I especially liked how devoted/caring the men were to their women. The scene where the ML takes the FL to the ocean and hugs her while she cries it out was touching. Also the scene where the SFL walks into the SML’s company and telling him that she’s willing to walk into his world as well was super sweet.

However a few things that happened in episodes 18/19 bothered me. Like the sudden decision to bring Ping An back only to then kill her off again felt unnecessary/like the writer couldn’t figure out how else to move the plot forward. I also HATED that they made the ML and Ping An have that pseudo love line connection through The Little Prince. It didn’t sit right with me. It came out of no where and only seemed to be thrown in so that Ping An would accept the relationship between him and her sister. It’s something that going forward I’m going to pretend didn’t happen/wasn’t cannon so that it doesn’t bring down the show overall for me lol

I’m glad Liang at least got some redemption by the end!

THE ACTRESS IS ALSO THE WORST!!! Thankfully our mains are delightful.

Really enjoying this one! It’s such a cute, sweet romance. I also am a sucker for shows set in the literary sphere (Romance is a Bonus Book is one of my all time favorite dramas). The only thing that gets to me are Miao/Liang and Yu Yao’s husband who are all complete jerks. I get so angry whenever any one of them are on screen, especially the husband. Also the supervisor at Gu Bai Zhi’s company.

My random theory: the “aunt” and “uncle” from the first episode are actually somehow our leads living out their happy ending. I felt like it was weird that they never showed the “aunt”’s face while they were on the phone plus hairstyle and clothing were super similar.

Who’s to say if this ends up being real but I needed to comment because it keeps niggling at me lol
