open ending. it is both happy or sad at your choice.
without going into spoilers the male and female lead are both together at the end for each other, but we cut to black before knowing if they get caught or escape by whoever is chasing them
because it's supposed to have s2, but the ML's scandal ruined it.
so the wikipedia article on him paints a different picture, we can't know for sure whether he is innocent or deserves forgiveness because he admitted to doing a bit of bullying.
who are we to forgive him but the kid who he allegdly bullied did not forgive him that's for sure.
I couldn’t stand either the ML or the FL (but more for the FL, wanted to drop it so bad because of her). The…
she's a thief as established in the first episode with her stealing minhee's gold phone case (or handbag or something, idk what it was) and selling it anonymously in some chat.
it makes sense, she was not in it for the money, just the thrill of it. but eventually she begins to understand the ML and risks her life multiple times to save him.
well couldn't even finished the 02nd episode I find pretty stupid that this guy can't do anything without is phone…
I think that was one minor plot hole.
he could've figured out some remote device erasing/self destruct thing and had a backup phone (he does but just his old phone, not a clone of the current one).
Also not mix work and personal phones, like not taking photos in the work phone and exposing anything related to his real indentity.
But he's a kid, learned stuff from youtube, did not expect his device getting stolen/being blackmailed. so its ok.
good movie, they could've done with less fights and more clarity on the motivations of the characters.
idk who's who by the end.
like who was the bank employee, was he hired to kill the ML (sending 2 north koreans) by the wife of the assasinated man, even after he comes to her and explains he didn't kill him, that means she was the one who hired the husband's chaufer to kill her husband.
then why did the president kim tae won want that same guy dead? fine for whatever motivation. So his dumb employee Choi, offloads the assisnation to some rando (china boss), who gives it to some rando #2 (ML).
ML was taken advantage by the guy who identifies the woman's body, but somehow the woman's killer is the bald old man who the ML beats in the beginning when looking for his wife.
ML gets flaskbacks of beating a woman (from who's home he took a kid's picture), so assuming he did give her a beating, she wasn't his wife then (because the end scene shows ML's wife safe and happy, not like someone who got abused), so he beat some random woman with the same name, in anger suspecting her of having a son with some other guy, i.e. that blad man, so he beat the woman and then afterwards the bald man killed her (motivation was her saying she was going back to china to her husband)
china boss hired rando with the intent to kill from the very beginning, finds out he isn't dead, goes to korea, kills anyone and everyone to find him. all the while ignoring the family leverage he had from the very beginning with the ML. this is a major plothole.
I will stop my speculative infodump here, that's enough.
i watched like 3 episodes and it felt like 10 episodes. so long and boring... i think i'm gonna drop. but i wasnt…
I haven't started this show but in general for slow paced shows, watching at 1.5x improves the pacing. might not be for everyone but I can't watch anything at normal speed, it's a curse.
Should've realised this was a webtoon adaptation and read the webtoon instead. (it is on daily pass on webtoon)Felt…
That detective who always opposed whatever the Patrol officer was infuriating, and I'm glad she survived. That was the only non-depressing thing in the whole show.

Felt rather slow and boring till the very last episode. It was like a fuse lit in the first episode exploding at the very end. I can't help but compare it to this other show, but in my opinion Tokyo Ghoul s1 did it better.
The show did do a phenomenal job at conveying human bleakness, especially in the last episode, the reactions of the minor characters after everything unfolded.
I’m rewatching this and all the knives are blurred? Was this always the case or are there versions of the show…
Not a spoiler but in one scene in the last episode there were lots of knives on the wall, but only one of them is blurred (which the killer picks up as a weapon). I found this to be hilarious, like a f* u to censorship laws.

(mom ghost in closet before sister dies, that bag of ooze in closet at the end)
Unless I misunderstood... and all of the girls/women had hallucinations and mental breakdowns.
