Also spreading some JJY love, this is the first time I have watched a series with her (I started Love and Fairy with her and Chen Zheyuan but ended up skipping). She did amazing here!! My favorite scene with her is where she is in the rain with TJR. Like even when you see the BTS, you can see just how immersed she was in the role. It was as if JJY had gone through it all herself personally and not the character.
Everyone has their own opinions about acting, but you don't have to send hate or include other ships in an attempt to put her down. Everyone else, I recommend just ignoring the trolls. They feed off getting a notification from you.
So are we in agreement that the biggest plot twist is that it's a happy ending? When I finished the last episode, I had to double check there wasn't something I missed LOL
They had me worried between ep 24-26 what with the whole "one of you must die and one is destined to kill the other". I thought it was going to be another FOF ending-
I don't remember what episode, but I swear there was a moment in FOF where ZYZ watched "Li Lun" turn around at it was ZYC instead. The scene in VOS of Ji Ling (Li Jie/Yuan Wuhou in the illusion) turning around as Yuan Xizai reminds me of that scene every time I watch it lol
Finding the little similarities in videography/themes between VOS and FOF is fun. I wonder if there have been any similar scenes to MJTY in VOS too?

All I will say is the first night of the premiere with 5 episodes, I went to bed at 2am. No regrets lol I will have two weeks off from work starting next week, so I'll get caught up.... eventually 😂
Omg, I can't believe I guessed the Jiling/"Longshen" connection correctly! I knew Ji ling had to be some part of Longshen that he casted out somehow.
Random thing, but I happened to pull up the scene for an old fic I was going to write on ao3 months ago (FOF/VOS crossover) and I wrote something so similar, where Ji Ling is literally Longshen's heart and emotions he cut out. Omg I can't believe I guessed that LMAO
FOF and LITC are still holding me captive and I just know VOS is going to grab me too. I know many people don't like the trailers, but I quite like them and the mysterious vibes. I do hope there is more romance in it than FOF but I am also not expecting it to be LITC level of romance shown (Meaning I don't expect it to be the main theme if that makes sense).
Like FOF, I like the dynamics they show so far and I think we'll see even more dynamics with the characters in the show. My favorite part of FOF was how the group got along with each other and became like a family, so I look forward to that here. I already enjoy Li Jie's little unhelpful side comments to Ji Ling lol "She means you're not handsome" (Before pitchforks come out, I do NOT mean that in a shippy way at all. I am all Jilu here). We'll get some laughs but oh boy, I think we'll be crying a lot too.
JBZ/MY (Mingzai?) already took me for a storm but I've got a feeling JILU will be the storm. I love them already and it's not out yet. I am also really curious of the other leads' relationship too.

After Immortality, I think VOS MDL might be the second page with the most comments on a show not yet aired? I love coming back to this just page for everyone commenting (also because I am going through a Jilu drought when we haven't even gotten Jilu yet T.T)
Between this and Burning Night, I don't know which I'm most excited to be released. I know VOS may not be out until Nov/Dec or early next year, but all I need is a trailer or some Jilu crumbs (like we got with LITC) T.T

But also I am currently watching The Blossoming Love, and I can see why they made Wang Duo play as Tian Jia Rui's older brother. They don't look alike, and the characters they play are different. I guess to me, the way Wang Duo plays his character in TBL reminds me just slightly of ZYC. But also i could just be looking with my FOF glasses LOL

I think I've rewatched FOF at-least two times now? I don't rewatch dramas often (if at all lol), so that says how much I like FOF. It's right up there with LBFD and TTEOTM as my favorite.
But now I've gotta ask: What would happen if we put ZYZ, DFQF, and TTJ in the same room?
What if we could get mini figures for them? (Nendoroids for example). I’ve seen them do some for other Cdramas and Chinese video games (Wang Yibo has one for his drama!). If we could get FOF figures they will have all my money. I would get the whole crew + Li Lun lol
I always felt like she was the calmness and glue that held everyone together. I really felt like she was the mother of the group. I will say, I do wish we could see more of her at her full 100% as the Baize Goddess.
That aside, I first saw CDL in TTEOTM but i don't think i focused on her a lot there so I missed just how talented she is (plus she had a cameo in LGEIF). CDL is a wonderful actress who can play quite a variety of characters effortlessly! I need to see more of what she's been in!

The dramas I anticipate most always seem to come around when my graduate classes start (or finals begin). LITC and FOF were both like this for me haha
