How I rate / review stuff:

1️⃣ / 2️⃣ / 3️⃣ go to movies/series that are offensive in some way — like misogynistic or homophobic. if a theme like that shows up, I just don’t enjoy watching it. if I don’t drop it completely, it’s only because I want to know how the story ends — usually by skipping everything and jumping straight to the last minutes of the final episode. these are absolute red flags 🚩🗑️

4️⃣ / 5️⃣ would be for total nonsense / dumb, pointless stories. haven’t actually given this rating yet though.

6️⃣ is for mediocre stuff leaning negative — like a show that starts off kinda okay, has an average plot, and then gets completely finished off with a bad ending. or a story that had potential but then someone just twisted its neck with illogical plot development, a weak ending, annoying and irrational character behavior, basically ruining something that could’ve been good. 😴

6️⃣.5️⃣ / 7️⃣ is for stories without a strong plot, and on top of that the execution just isn’t great either. there might be some good elements, but nothing stands out, nothing really deserves attention — boring, average, or similar to the previous category: a decent story that starts going downhill halfway through or towards the end. 😴

7️⃣.5️⃣ / 8️⃣ is your typical “okay” tier — the story had a spark at the beginning, but then something fell apart. either the plot didn’t fully deliver, or there were inconsistencies, or something was clearly missing that would’ve pushed it onto the podium. still, there’s potential there. 🤔

9️⃣ is the score a series usually starts with in my head — and then I subtract half points for plot changes, inconsistencies, lack of continuity, illogical character behavior, etc.

9️⃣.5️⃣ is almost perfection — just one element missing to make it ideal. could be a plot inconsistency, something off in the script, or a character issue. ✨

🔟 is my ideal — a movie/series I keep thinking about after finishing it. it leaves a mark on me, makes me reflect, often has a quote that sticks in my head, shows situations that feel real and relatable — something I can emotionally connect with and analyze. those stay in my ❤️🥹
