Lol this person thinks they're a genius bc they watched The Frog 😂 Guess what, there are many, MANY more highly acclaimed, highbrow, artistic, thought provoking works than The Frog. Go watch some Kurosawa or Fellini before you brag about your high IQ for watching The Frog.

Since the oldest sister's boyfriend is a slimy cheater, I wonder who her match will be? Maybe it will be Lee Sang Yi (the CEO). Lee Sang Yi might like Shin Min Ah at first, and then fall for the oldest sister.

But when you're old, there will be a shortage of nurses, doctors, etc. Imagine being in a nursing home and you only get one shower a month bc there's not enough nurses. Not to mention social security going bankrupt and a ton of other issues. If you dislike people, you can always move to a less populated area.

Don't worry, when they get older, they'll LOVE noona romances. And then they'll have to deal with younger kids saying they dislike noona romances 😂

Second episode was also great! The only possible flaw I foresee with this drama is if it remains strictly PG. Give us a little spice por favor! I'm also looking forward to the brother's relationship with his wife evolving.

I'm SCREAMING at the ending where he switches from formal speech to informal speech. Dayum, he came back in manly mode. I almost skipped this bc I thought it was a low budget web drama, but it has my beloved Shin Hyun Been! She elevates any drama. So far, this seems like a solid drama.

7.3?? This is a 9.5 drama. This is directed by the renown Ahn Pan Seok, who also directed Secret Love Affair, Something in the Rain (aka Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food), White Tower, and many other critically acclaimed dramas. If you've watched his past works, you know that there is a high level of realism, which is why some may think his work is slow paced and depressing. I'm a fan of thrillers, and I didn't find this boring. It has that slow, steady drip of dread and tension that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's my favorite work of Ahn Pan Seok.

Everyone here for Rain, but I'm only watching for the forever elegant Kim Haneul. Finally she has a strong character where she's not a doormat. She's killing it as a cold, bitchy chaebol 💅

So the reason this is called "The Pork Cutlets" is bc in Korea, boys get circumcised when they're around 9 years old. And moms would tell their sons, "let's go out to eat tonkatsu (pork cutlets)" to lull them into a false sense of security. I mean, I imagine it would be terrifying for kids to be told they were getting surgery on their private parts. So it became a euphemism for circumcision. Now it's more of a meme or joke.

My guess is that if the baby is really Hyunsung's, Nayoung will have a miscarriage as a punishment for all her lies. I think Nayoung will be forgiven at the end though, as the writer seems to be very sympathetic.

There's a chance Nayoung's baby is not Hyunsung's, bc she said she pretended to break up with HS to "get rid of all his doubts". Why does she need to get rid of his doubts if the baby's really his?

And it looks like Woori is the real son and heir of the hospital. So our girl Sooji wins haha.

If I recall correctly, Be Melodramatic is more slow and subtle. Extreme Job is more slapstick. It was Korea's number one box office movie in 2019, beating Avengers: End Game, Parasite, etc.

She's chaotic. She's obliviously evil. You'll hate her, but she's also likable at times. Really amazing acting.

I've watched a lot of Korean intelligence/sociological/psychological variety shows like Money Game, Bloody Game, The Genius, etc, and this show does a brilliant job capturing the of them, such as picking the weakest link and ostracizing them or a minority alliance trying to outsmart the majority alliance. But it also had unexpected twists and turns. At its essence, it's a very smart commentary about the unfairness and exploitation in late capitalism reflected through power dynamics in a sample society.

It's darker and more complex and sophisticated than Squid Game, so I don't think it will be as popular as Squid Game, but it was still a very fun watch. You will end up binge watching this.
