This drama is excruciatinggggg. I've watched 2 episodes and I can't convince myself to go any further. Does it get better in later episodes or should I cut my losses early?

I put down everything you suggested on my to-watch list :) I'm excited to see them.
I watched The Thieves a few days ago and I really liked it! So thank you again for the recommendation. Do you have any other Korean films that you like? I'm open to any genre!
The way you are with Queen In-Hyun's Man is how I am with a looot of dramas haha. I hit a plateau stage and it takes a lot of effort (or boredom) for me to go back to it. Which is why I have a lot on my on hold list lol. But if you ever do go back to it let me know and we can watch it together if you like ^_^ sometimes it helps to have someone else watching them with you (for motivation mostly). And Hyun Woo is really great in it. His character is one of my favourite aspects of the show.
For the most part I'm enjoying this drama but there are also a number of aspects that make me rme. I won't go…
Ia with everything you said! I hope they do their relationship justice and don't turn it into a case of ~woman meets man and changes him for the better~ and instead show how they both benefit from having each other in their lives.
For the most part I'm enjoying this drama but there are also a number of aspects that make me rme. I won't go…
omg yes I completely agree that he's a lot better than the typical male stock character lead. My main issue lies in the way he talks to her. He's suuuuper condescending. He's supposed to be a diplomatic leader yet he has absolutely no tact when it comes to personal relationships and I find it really jarring.
Nam Da Jung is very naive at times, I'm not disputing that. She's done a bunch of idiotic things that easily could have been avoided (although we know why they weren't lol). But regardless of her actions it doesn't mean she deserves to be treated like she's 5. Kwon Yul is a grown man and needs to start acting like it tbh.
I really hope they don't use his injury as a means for further emotional manipulation though. I'm really tired of it. and ia I hope he does properly apologise at some point and doesn't immediately backpedal like he's done previously.

I won't go into everything rn but the no.1 problem I have is how Kwon Yul treats Nam Da Jung. Whenever he scolds her I get legit father/daughter vibes and it really throws me off. Maybe it's part of the ~oppa~ culture (especially how older men feel the need to be "protective" of younger women) in Korea that I just haven't adjusted to and it's made to see more prominent because of their age difference idk. Nam Da Jung isn't stupid (albeit she is sometimes naive) and I just wish Kwon Yul would see that and start treating her as his equal. Like, fake wife or not she doesn't deserve to be pushed back and forth like this especially considering the circumstances she's under.
tl;dr Nam Da Jung deserves better and I won't be happy until she is treated as such.
I'm surprised Heirs isn't on this list bc it was one of the biggest dramas of 2k13 and it was a huge mess lmao
You're wise tbh I knew it was bad from the get-go and yet for some reason I couldn't stop watching??? I think it was Kim Woo Bin's face that kept me invested *sigh*

I didn't know about The Thieves! Thank you for telling me I'm going to watch it soon ^_^
I will let you know if I start watching Take My Hand. 100 episodes is a lot, I'm surprised you can keep up with it! The one thing I really like about dramas is that they're usually no longer than 20 episodes so I'm really surprised that 100+ episode dramas exist!
By the way, another good historical drama is Queen In-Hyun's Man. It's one of my favourites so I hope you like it as much as I did : ) I've not seen any war themed dramas though so if you have any recommendations I'd love to know them. I'm still quite new to dramas in general so if I come across anything I think you'd like I will let you know! <3
THERE ARE SUBTITLES FINALLY Y'ALL

Postponing watching current dramas is a smart move! I always regret starting dramas as they air because it means I have to wait for the next episode and I'm very impatient when it comes to dramas haha x_x
I haven't seen Take My Hand, I'll put it on my list! I did see Master's Sun though and I thought it was pretty good. Cruel City and I Hear Your Voice are my favourites from 2013. Who Are You wasn't bad either but it isn't on my favourites list because it was a little lacklustre plot wise.
I'm currently watching You Who Came From The Stars and I really like it so far. The main character might not be to everyone's tastes but I think she's great because she's very different to the stock female characters you get in dramas.
I watched the first episode of Inspiring Generation (a historical drama) and it seems like it will be good. You might wanna check it out when it's done airing. : )

Nice to meet you too ^_^
And I've seen season 1 of I Need Romance, but I didn't like it that much. Season 3 seems promising to me though so I think it will (hopefully) be a lot better. I haven't watch season 2 yet because the character's didn't seem as engaging. It's on my list though so I'll get around to it eventually.
I'm a big fan of TOP too! He was really great in Commitment although the film didn't do him any justice : ( Let me know your thoughts when you watch it.
I'm taking a look at your list right now and omg it is long!! I have a lot to watch if I ever wanna catch up haha. What are your fave dramas from 2013?

I'm from Australia : ) how about you?
I recently started watching I Need Romance 3 and You Who Came from the Stars, both of which seems like they might be good. I'm watching this movie called Commitment at the moment though and I think it'll be very interesting. What have you seen lately that you've liked?
I've got the film but no english subtitles so I can't watch it : (
i use torrents so i got it from here (also on asiatorrents.me if you have an account): http://torrentgun.net/bbs/bbs.php?bo_table=torrent_movie&wr_id=15502&sca;=&sfl=wr_subject&stx;=???

The one thing I couldn't understand was why Tan had the same hairstyle for 10 years tbh
omg ik but after that they forwarded 10 yrs into the ~future and when you finally see Tan he has the exact same hairstyle/look as when he was 18?? It was just funny to me that they didn't at least try to make him look different/older. Aint nobody who is almost 30 and has that much money styling themselves like they did when they were 18.
