Why does MDL always give the tile in Japanese rather than the translated title like they do with Korean and Chinese…
I can't speak for other movies but at least for this, it's based on a super popular mobile game called NekoAtsume, and it's called that in English as well (though the translation would be cat collecting/gathering)... though I think the best English title for this would be NekoAtsume House. But, as the other reply to this said, I don't think Japan gives a hoot. It's the same with anime and manga. Unless the author/creators specify an English name, there isn't one until whoever licenses the work gives it a translation.
