The only thing that bothered me is the fact that the beautiful girl had bad temper and was cruel. Had it been otherwise, the story would have been less predictable and moved away from cliches.
But despite this, it was worth-watching because of Seul Gi.
You're right that Second Female Synd is virtually nonexistent. In my case, only these characters of old classics have stolen my heart:
1.- Jae Kyung - Jun Pyo's fiancee (Boys over flowers): I tried very hard to hate her character but it was impossible, sometimes even seemed more interesting and charming than Jan Di. Well, more than her kindness, it was her risky charm that was hard to beat.
2.- Yoo Hee Jin (My name is Kim Sam Soon): I remember when I saw her I thought: how can she be so angelical? She was kind and friendly, almost an example of sacrifice, she even let go of her beloved without refusing. It broke my heart.
3.- Yoo Mi (Autumn Tale): She was incredibly devoted to the male lead and very kind. Although her attempted suicide at sea was somewhat manipulative, that scene moved me so much that I have it fresh in my mind until now.
You forgot the "AS MAD AS DAUGHTER" type, like the mother of Another Miss Oh. I'd like to see more mothers like that one, if anyone knows of a similar one, please give me the information!!!!
Jo Kang Ja of Angry Mom - she was a strong, sane, loving, devoted mother Go Bok Shil of Shopping King Louis -…
Oh Angry Mom, innovative screenplay, perhaps because the scriptwriter was unknown, delivers transgressive characters and faces taboo subjects. A valuable show!

Your welcome! I really like your article, and I failed to mention that I agree with your reviews, especially that of Bok Joo, in that drama 90% of the characters broke stereotypes.
I have to confess that sometimes I wanted to kill Hae Young because of her desperate way of looking for the male lead to give her an answer or to love her, I had never seen her from the point of view that you mention, as someone who does not fear her emotions.
It's a refreshing reading of the character.
I usually feel misunderstood because of my deep love for Please CBM, it's great to see that someone else enjoyed it as much as I did. Love your article!
So, 2016 was Gong Yoo's year! I'm interested in The Age of Shadows and The Monkey King, also a little curious about Grace. I'll try them this week. Great article! Thank you!
