what about the scene when she & Anthony escaped and drove the car, it seems like they hit the deer? then the guy turned into a different person that I thought it was the father... then the deer became the demon who shot her father back... either it was a dream or illusion, but I guess they had an accident that's why her father died and there's a deer symbolism?

but I also read an article that says they filmed in Koh Kradad, an island full of deers... which is likely the place they visited when she was young

First hour focused on a dream sequence (or more like nightmare) that appears to be repetitive and strange. Visually intriguing, with right amount of sound effects. The use of mirror and artwork was also clever. It's rather a mood piece on a whole than actual plot which was only revealed towards the end.
