The imagery of dolls was never mentioned, but I took it as a symbolism that some people are controlling and manipulative just like playing with dolls. Dolls can be a reference to rituals as the leader's father founded the faith healing which gained a group of devotees or cult, not to mention his own organization so it was like belief > cult > practices accdg. to belief > needed objects > an example is a doll. Hence, for me, it was one significant expression. Kudos to the director not just for this but for overall style of filming!
Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed it. Its fascinating we have the thoughts on Soo Ae being the best but for reverse…
Yeah, right? And you picked beautiful photos of her! :)
With Gianna, exclude the upcoming one and I watched 11 out of her 12 movies. I started Assassination but stopped it midway coz I wasn't in the mood that time, have to get back to it ^^
I personally believe that Soo Ae is the best actress in SK, too. Contrary to yours, when I watched 9 End 2 Outs, I was surpised that she played a light role coz what I've seen from past yrs were serious roles of her and I only knew about it last yr so the fact that she acted comically was new to me, and I think she still acts naturally despite the character. So yes, she is versatile - from melodramatic to romcom to action, she will nail it.
JJH is more of a movie actress, her previous dramas before the two big ones were from late '90s so understandable. I'm not fond of the latter, and I agree with you on her acting in both. While on the big screen, I especially commend her in "Snow Flower & the Secret Fan" and "The Uninvited".
That's interesting with Lee Bo Young. We have the same take on how she plays similar personalities, but haven't watched her that much so I can't say yet if the approach is different. Also agree with Ha Ji Won, she fits the historical characters more.
Wow! I'm so happy with these :D Congrats on your first and refreshing article ♥ I have watched 8/10 hahaha and 6 of them are my favorites omg! All I can say is part two xD
I watched this months ago, and as far as I remember, the story was really intriguing. It gave me chills from music score to dubious characters to uncanny atmosphere. Fast-paced with catching twists, not to mention impressive acting from the cast. Overall, a well-directed Philippine mini-series.
You were anticipating? omo so cute ;) Thanks a lot ❤️ Glad you like it. ^^ Nice that you have nostalgic feelings…
haha! we're on different sides of the world ^^ yes! also the HK one, I think I watched a few then, but can't remember their titles. Looking forward to it. I'm probably drawn to Taiwanese coz it's my first... gosh, ancient times xD but yeah, I miss them :) Hope many people will give them a chance.
oh it's out now, I'm anticipating this! I've seen a lot back then in local channels, from what were mentioned - Hana Kimi, Mars, Rainie Yang's dramas... and omg, My Lucky Star? I remember watching it when I don't have classes haha, is it still available online? I also like Black & White, Lavender, It Started With A Kiss, Green Forest, mostly old ones lol, but I want to try Someday or One Day soon... I think they are simple but engaging. Have to agree with skinship, they don't shy away from that. And that they're also good when it comes to family/friends theme. Reading this makes me want to rewatch those fully or catch up the ones from recent yrs :)
I didn't understand why mainlead took that funeral job.even after doing well why she got fired? The main lead…
I guess she took the funeral job because she knows her job was unstable and she thinks that she's a good actress so it would be easy. When Sakuma fired her, she was letting her pursue what she really wants because that moment she finally cried, Sakuma was pleased that Eriko now connects emotionally, and have realized the things around her, so it will help her find herself and improve.
Congrats on your first article! Haven't watched many dramas with cats, maybe in movies... I've seen Bread and Soup, but the story doesn't focused on it. Blanket Cats and My Lonely Planet are interesting, might check them out later on :)

Really good article! Great choices overall :)
What don't you like about them, if I may ask?
oh I understand :) stay safe there, my friend!
