Really underrated imo. Lovely bitter sweet film about memories, leaving the past behind and growing up. Plus the Inland Sea and Ehime prefecture landscapes...
quite a powerful story with drama, suspense and a case about the welfare system in Japan that avoids quick ideological clichés. Very good acting there, especially Kaya and Taleru.
are cult members normal people? to a certain extent yes...that is maybe one the main points of this captivating little flick through the eyes, thoughts and deeds of Chihiro (excellent acting from Ashida Mana)...star-studded cast for supporting roles and cameos
delightful little flick, light on the surface it is sometimes pretty deep. And there's Non, charming, entertaining, utterly expressive. Kudos for her directorial effort.
what a surprising "romantic comedy"... not your average romance...you have to be patient as not much seems to happen during the first half but then everything will make sense... nice twists, clever script, good acting and for the bullies, justice is served
