I've always assumed it's a cultural thing, but that doesn't really fit because I have seen couples be openly affectionate on shows like Dream Team and the WGM where Khuntoria was at the game. It didn't phase any of the people in the crowd to kiss when they got put on camera except Victoria and Nick, who were shy about it.

I have never understood why most women in Korean dramas literally look like a pole when hugged or kissed.
