With such a star studded casting it is quite a shame that the story felt too childish and overall very slow (except for the last 2 episodes that crammed too much plot instead). I wonder if they really spent the allocated budget on the show ??

I'm honestly guessing that the actors signed up to this with a different production/story in mind and that everything slowly started to be modified to this result after the actors had contracts obligating them to their roles. Not to mention the constant product placements. If disney was trying to find a new "Moving" that would reach family-friendly audiences (kids) interest more, there absolutely wouln't be a need to have all these big actors.

If you are debating watching this, just don't. It's a bad story, the costumes were silly once the actors had emotional scenes and the show is filmed in super odd angles. Do yourself the favour and skip this!

Yesss! The finesse of when to add music and when to cut it out to let the acting take all attention is so good!!

This show is truly amazing. Matsumoto Marikas acting as Minori is SUPERB and the emotional journey she goes on to play her is crazy good!! Can't wait to see how the show finishes!

She was truly the one that elevated the drama! Everytime she showed Somin's "true" colours, I literally stopped breathing for a moment. Truly a perfect casting for the main villain!

It doesn't really ruin S1 but you should definitely see this as an extra fanservice special. You will get to see the next level for them but it is kinda in a last minute happy ending!

Honestly, i'm 100% with you on this one. The fact that he mentions how she dresses various time in the drama version, something Jihyuk NEVER did (except to give compliments to the FL ) rubs me kinda in the wrong way. This whole "self defence" plot seems wild as well. Lol

As previously mentioned, yes, in the webtoon he commits suic1de after witnessing FL die and holding her as she is dying. Basically, the scene when she is pushed down and falls on the glass table, he hears the crash outside and storms into her apartment, seeing Minwhan and Soomin together and FL bleeding on the floor. He holds her as she passes away and takes a taxi to the water to end his life after her funeral. During that time he also wishes that he could have done something so FL wouldn't have had such an ending.

I agree! The change in the story and how it is presented changed the mood alot and you dont really see his desperation to save her as in the webtoon. It also so emotionally staged in the webtoon so it makes me wonder if they are trying to do a more toned down realistic version instead (or just ignoring the way he transmigrated in the webtoon altogether to avoid mention of suic1de)

He honestly kind of is a stiff character but thats the charm. He grows to be comfortable expressing himself infront of the FL and she towards him.
Hopefully Na In Woo can help the character a little bit cuz let me tell you he is awkward in the webtoon as well (not alot of face expressions, at first kind of icy cold and lacking the relaxed conversations)

The fact that transmigration (going back in time) is probably the most popular trope in romance webtoons just speaks for itself! Of course they are similar, they were both sourced from webtoons/webnovels that were made around the same time with an highly popular trope.

So, the MLs background and way of transmigrating back in time was tweaked alot from how it originally was presented in the webtoon. (Keep in mind I can't speak about the webnovel since i've only read the webtoon!)

In the webtoon ML is essentially sent back by him commiting suic1de and as far as I remember, he doesn't have a heart tattoo appear on his chest.

The blue heart is still present and symbolically important but it is instead her father who acts as a taxi driver.
In this drama-version, it seems ML just got into the typical truck-oppa accident and woke up 10 years in the past. In the webtoon, he rushes in as Minwhan and Somin are killing her by pushing her into the glass table, and he is literally crying over her dying body. In the drama, He essentially didn't witness her dying at the hands of Minwhan and Somin like in the webtoon but it is rather implied that there is enough evidence to arrest them for murder.

Honestly, this version is a little bit more realistic but alot less drama... I'm still quite happy with it so far but im starting to think maybe this is one of those dramas better to binge watch because time FLIES BY during one episode.

Also, Webtoon version does not show that ML also has come gone in 10 until MUCH MUCH MUCH later when the leads are basically a couple. Yes, it is hinted at, but at the end of the day, showing MLs point of view this early can help give the viewers more understanding towards his actions and thoughts.

I also wonder if they will continue to tone down the ~drama~ that was the webtoon, because it feels like they are trying to go for a "realistic" version with less melo

It kinda made me a little sad that they modified the story. Up until the 4th episode it felt like it was 100% true to the webtoon but then they had to go change it up a little. Imma put my thoughts in a spoiler in my comments!

I'm also on ep 8 but i'll just throw out an theory: It could be couple rings! Alot of couples like to buy (or even make) couple rings to solidify their relationship. The ring isn't really an engagement ring if its a couple ring but definitely a cute way to make a statement that you are in a serious relationship.
Lets see how it pans out!

YES! Adding Jinyoung (Dex) to the panel this year was such a good choice because he has the persective of having been on the show in the past season. I also think that they are a little bit more outspoken and honest this season which gives us as an audience the chance to agree/disagree to their comments in a more natural way.

Had the same experience! I got bored around episode 10 and took a month long break and finally binged the last episodes just to see it through to the end.
