Yeah, no. This could've been like three episodes with the way they've dragged the story, the dialogues were too long and unnecessary, and the characters were annoying. Especially the mother. I should've dropped it long ago, but I kept thinking they might pull through with the ending. Spoiler alert: they didn't.
They tried to be deep with the story, but it fell flat at the end. They said more with those three lines as the credit rolled out, without really showing it in the series.
Nothing was resolved, and nobody learned any lesson, as they continued with their ways, being toxic and manipulative; Wang was the only one who took something from experience, and at least he found out about his dad.
But the story was dull. I usually don't watch shows for romantic moments and wasn't expecting any, but they really queetbaited with that poster of them in the bed. The romance wasn't necessary, as my problem lies in the dialogues that wanted to have depth, while they dragged for every episode. One scene had a dialogue over 20 minutes long, without anything crucial being said. The story was predictable from the first episode, but I thought some lesson would be taken out of it. This was more written for the play rather than a show of 8 episodes, and you can tell.
I hate fake-deep shows and movies with passion, and unfortunately, this is a big miss for me.
Disappointed 3/10
