Since the beginning it was clear the movie was going to be about learning to accept yourself and your sexuality. It was also clear that the main characters loved their actual partners and wanted to be with them. It makes me really sad that some people thought it was going to be about a gay man and a lesbian woman falling in love with each other.

I really liked the first half, but things kind of went downhill after that. I guess the problem was that I wasn't expecting a dramatic film, but a happy one.
