At the abandoned factory, Noriko is praying at the site where her husband was killed, then Shunsuke arrives by car. Noriko says Shoichi was killed by shot at his chest by gun, which was hidden by a book during train. His motive was he kept by a gang and being told to kill him because Shoichi is making money. Noriko reveals it was him who attacked her by a stick while in Miyagi. Shunsuke actually hit Midori while driving the car. It was revealed that 5 years ago, as Goro arrives while bringing the ransom, Shunsuke instead shot him at his head, killing him.
After Noriko reveals everything and asking for responsibility over her husband death, suddenly Shunsuke takes out a gun and threatens her. Shunsuke drags Noriko to the car, but she quickly snatches the gun from him, then hit his hand, causing the gun drops. Noriko then picks the gun, then points the gun to him. As the police arrives, Noriko are about to shot Shunsuke, but she shot the air instead. The police then quickly arrests him.

The true culprit in the series was Aikawa Takao (Tatsukawa Go). Fujima Yasuaki (Yashiba Toshihiro) was involved because he shot Kobayakawa Ryuji (Kato Masaya) to death, who is actually innocent. The mastermind behind it was Kanetsugu Masayuki (Wakabayashi Go).
At the waterfront, Ryuji called Kanetsugu by using Eiichiro name. After Kanetsugu arrives, Ryuji takes out the gun by pointing at him, telling him that he was responsible for the killing of his wife, Masaaki, Kimiko and Akagi. But suddenly Totsugawa and others arrives, prompting Ryuji to take Kanetsugu hostage. Totsugawa told that 6 years ago, Kanetsugu was experiencing his loss when Eiichiro and his friends asked him to invest in a redevelopment plan, because the amount of money worth 5 billion yen was not available and Kanetsugu is actually settling the accounts fraudulently. Ryuji's wife, Ai, notices that Kanetsugu's behavior is suspicious and discovers that his company is actually falsifying the financial results. Unaccepted after being exposed, Kanetsugu ordered Aikawa to strangle her with his wrist in order to silence her, then he bribes the four in order to convict Ryuji.
Then 6 years later, Furuki investigates the alleged fraudulent financial statements and he began to threatens Kanetsugu, then he asks for 20 million yen, but he cannot move away. After that, Kanetsugu ordered Takao to kill Masaaki, Kimiko and Akagi. Takao first killed Masaaki by hits his head with a wrench at his office, then he strangles Kimiko with rope to death at below the bridge. At night, he fatally stabbed Akagi to death.
After Totsugawa tells that 6 years ago against Ryuji was false accusation and named Kanetsugu as the mastermind behind the killings, inspector Fujima arrives to the scene. As Ryuji are about to finish off Kanetsugu after being cornered by the police, but Fujima fatally shoot Ryuji instead. As Ryuji collapses, the police quickly arrests Kanetsugu, while Ryuji are dying, he forgives to Totsugawa and police that he is a victim of false accusation. In his final moments, Ryuji says after 6 years losing his wife and feeling glad to seeing him, he finally dies in Totsugawa's arms. Enraged, Totsugawa punches Fujima and told to him that Ryuji didn't want to shoot anyone and he is actually innocent for 6 years. Fujima then crying histerically.
Now-deceased Ryuji later posthumously cleared for criminal case, while Fujima was punished for the killing of alleged suspect.
