I think she means to international fans that never watched Kdramas, it is actually a hook for new drama lovers,…
I sooo agree with you! This has been my fear for a long time now. I even find some differences in Netflix K-dramas already... I am always afraid that all the enchanting original K-dramas will turn into...well I don't want to offend anyone (although I am a westerner myself) but they are so unique, and they have utterly spoiled me and turned me into someone unable to watch anything else with the same passion. My only hope is that they appear to be really adaptable, so let's trust that when they realize this is not the right path, they will change back into what they know how to do best: immerse the audience in our familiar k-drama magic.

Of course, my mistake, they have lived in Australia for more than 40.000 years...I am sorry for the omission, but I seem to have omitted other cultures too (Egyptians?)...

You do not lose freedom of art so easily..And about the other staff I am with you, no one should be judged and convicted by netizens without proof . I believe that the previous dramas being cut off is way more a pity than this one. These had to do just with accussations to one person and their personal life and past, something that should gain support for all the other people working in the dramas instead of cutting them. But this hits a more sensitive spot. It is not just about culture, but because of a national thing. We do not live in their country so we could not know the depth of the matter. And culture is not a western thing. It is a global thing. The oldest countries with culture are the ancient Greeks, the ancient Chinese, Arabs and Persians (the last were the first recorded with any culture, art and tradition)...

Before we judge we should understand what was the reason behind this cancellation. Do you think if it was just based on something frivolous they would have cancelled it so easily? For many years now, a cultural center in China (running China's Northeast project) is trying to prove-among others- that korean historical trademarks like the hanboks or kimchi, are of Chinese origin. This has started before 2005, but in recent years it is used by many internet users in China..Though it is a complicated political and geostrategical matter, think if in your fellow citizens would actually help these theories and give reason for the Chinese to say: see, even in your own works (watched by millions of people) our claims are justified..And moreover think of your own country's national hero to be depicted like a deranged person killing his own people..for whatever the reason...So there is more than meets the eye, let's not be so harsh. Koreans have shown us in the past they do not have problems with their history being used by artists and writers, but this is different.

I respect your motive, but just to relieve your stress, Koreans do not in general enter this website. They have their own communities to see the response to the victims' accussations. I agree that any kind of victims should not be critisized but since they are not named, the one that is actually hurt at the moment is the alleged perpetrator. I believe they are truly prepared for any such comments because he has many fans in his country, and perhaps that's the reason they have delayed the accussations for so many years. What I mean is that though the one you are answering to has not chosen his/her words in a successful way, so did you. You do not actually defend them by pointing out the guiltof the other party. You defend them by explaining that we should keep these kind of words away of the comments so we can all offer our opinions. Both deserve our respect. And I persist because in the comments, 85 plus % has convicted him, while the rest -maybe just fans- say they are not certain. As for his parents, I don't find it today, but I saw someone's comment saying his parents did not raise him well etc, and you agreed.

It seems that apart from being a retired psychiatric nurse, you are also a prosecutor, judge, and jury combined...The only reason I am replying to this is only to point out that in democratic countries, you wait for someone to be actually convicted of a crime to proclaim him a criminal, or an abuser. Let's just wait and see. If it is proven, then by all means he is the worst, but being so sure of someone's guilt is as bad for every true victim as for an innocent man being destroyed by false accussations. How can any of us be sure of anything? Your decuction is just your opinion and only that. It is respected as an opinion, but let's just say that your certainty of the guilt of man you do not actually know (or his parents either) is very provocative. Commenting just for fairness' sake.

I must answer, I don't get it. Are we watching the same drama? You do not care for the characters? Can Nam Goong Min be more awesome than this? And, you do not see development because we see how he and the rest have already developed due to their past and upbringing. They have mastered a combination of down-to-earth- characters with the whole superpower-side effects of the experiments. The fact that you do not see -and pity- the stereotype milky-skin ladies and -not a hair changed its place- male leads, but instead rough policewomen and a phenomenal anti-hero style lead..well this is art. Plus you do not feel sorry all the time by what happened to these kids, which is horrible-but instead you actually have the ability to watch the hero who should have lost all humanity by what he has witnessed, to actually feel emotions and not give up on humans altogether. Its difference from the rest is what makes it absolutely engrossing....just saying

very nice! Extremely happy to have watched. It is the kind that leaves you with a mellow smile on your face. I liked the scenery and cinematography, and I liked the fact the evil did not prevail throughout the movie, covering everything with darkness. It is essential to have these kind of movies that are not very dark, but are realistic at the same time.

I am not yet through watching ep 14 and I am so frustrated already!! aaaaa Everything I want to say will be a spoiler! very very disappointed and I was expecting so much from it. What kind of great love did she have crying all night and loving only him for 10 years, and now that she got him? 2 months are too much for her to wait already and she will resent him??? She told him he should leave, but then she said "you shouldn't have left", she never called him, only expected a call yet she whines, she took back her promise to go with him and WHAT? she is going to resent him so she broke up with the man she was waiting all her life during a face time call of a 2 minute duration in a bus? Not trying to find a way ? (by the way she looked bored, not devastated in the face to lose the perfect guy)No trying at all? No discussing her feelings or fears with him? Are you kidding me? How can she be more selfish? Totally unrealistic, unless the character is written to be a spoiled selfish brat with no ounce of love in her for anyone! (or else they put something in her drink-which she shared with her friend-who also broke up for nothing)

Yes, you are right, in the book (since it is a poetic-dramatic plot) this is the outcome, but in more "light" adaptation in movies and theater plays (like "Roxanne" with Steve Martin, or "The truth about cats and dogs" with Uma Therman) the "uglier" yet brilliant Cyrano gets the girl (or the boy-in the second movie Cyrano is a girl) in the end. Of course this is the more popular and less dramatic ending. But in our case, I believe they have kept just the idea and not the whole plot. I will wait for this plot to unfold and then decide who to root for... although I am leaning towards HJP for some reason...

Have you guys ever heard of the classic Cyrano de Bergerac? (many movies are adaptations of the original) One writes the letters and wins the heart of the girl, and the other is presenting himself as the writer of these letters. This plot reminds me of it. Then HJP might have a chance to win the girl...but you never know with k dramas...very promising and dreamy nevertheless!
