I jumped into this serie because I loved Billy and Babe in The Sign, and I’m so glad I did. Their chemistry is incredible and carries the whole story. I also loved the focus on historical details and traditional Thai dance—it really made the show stand out. Sure, the jumping timelines get messy and the pacing is slow at times, but I still found myself wishing for ten more episodes.

An Authentic Gem That Never Gets Old

It’s honestly impressive how well this holds up considering it’s from 2018. I only discovered it a year ago, but it turned into an instant favorite—I’ve actually sat through the whole thing four times now. What really makes it stand out is how grounded the story is. You don't get any of that annoying, forced drama or over-the-top tropes that usually clutter these shows. Instead, the chemistry is just... there. It’s genuine. Seeing their relationship grow through the intensity of the volleyball setting feels completely natural, which makes it so easy to actually care about what happens to them.

The balance is perfect. You get the romance, but the energy on the court keeps the momentum from ever stalling. It’s just one of those rare, authentic gems that doesn’t need clichés to be good. Even after four rewatches, the ending still hits just as hard as the first time.

Season 1: This is a charming, cozy university BL with sweet chemistry between all four couples. The variety makes it easy to like at first, but the series is way too long for its own good. There just isn’t enough story to fill all these episodes. Even if the leads are great, it gets pretty boring after a while because the plot is so thin. It’s lighthearted, but it eventually just feels a bit empty.

Pond and Phuwin’s chemistry is natural and fun to follow. It’s a classic "ugly duckling" story about Pi’s awkward struggle with insecurities, and it looks great—the colors are vibrant and the music hits the right mood for the university setting. While the humor gets way too over-the-top and the side story with the brother is honestly just cringey, the show remains a cozy watch. The connection between the leads is what makes you stay, even when the comedy gets a bit unhinged.

This show would easily score a 9/10 if they hadn't cast JJ. Honestly, no matter how charming he might be, he is just completely wrong for this character. I liked everything else about the series, but his performance was a constant distraction that I just couldn't overlook. On a positive note, Net is incredible at delivering pure longing and intensity just with his eyes. And Kim is an absolute star through and through. The production values are high too, especially the beautiful historical settings.

This show completely reminded me why I fell in love with Japanese BL in the first place. It's a wonderful, cozy comfort watch with plenty of lighthearted humor, romantic tension, and genuine emotional depth. The absolute best part was the strong, natural chemistry between Ryo and Zen—they carry the entire experience. On the down side, the music was not good at all, but that is something you can easily overlook.

I am completely torn and cannot decide if I love or hate this series. It has this dreamy aesthetic that draws you in, but the choppy storytelling makes the experience feel messier than it needs to be. Even though the contract-relationship setup had potential, it never really took off. The tension between the leads is there and it definitely tries to be more mature than the average KBL, but something felt a bit off, it feels like they’re just leaning on the same old tropes without doing anything new with them.

Supporting Cast Steals the Spotlight

This is a solid GMMTV production with a really polished look, though the editing felt way too fast-paced for me—I really wished some moments could have lingered longer. While Sea and Keen are sweet, I’m still waiting for a stronger spark to develop between them. What really kept me watching were Java and Indy; their chemistry is great, especially those quiet stares and the genuine energy they have. They definitely bring the heart to this story, but even with them, the pacing issues kept it from being a top-tier favorite.
