Reminded me of why I like survival shows this much. This was extremely entertaining although I'm not really gonna keep up with Nine Percent as close as I should (but I'm coming for you, Nex7!). Those were some extremely nice trainees

only gave this a high rating cause i love the trainees but this show was the biggest waste of time ever. i feel bad for all 29 of them. it was so absolutely cruel and rigged + the fandom is ROTTEN. good luck with the akgaes when you debut, kids. i'll support all 13 of you (or at least not be just heartless towards those i don't care about)

it got so boring after a while. i really tried to stick around but 18 episodes in and i still couldnt care less about the show or any trainees (except those from groups i'm a fan of)

Butting in to say that I enjoyed this show a lot. It's not behind your usual Survival show, not at all. But it has Yang Hyunsuk in it so that's something... Yeah

Of course just because you love melodramas that's no guarantee of liking Encounter. My comment was mostly towards people who dislike the genre, know it quite well, and stil try to watch it when the odds of them liking it are already low. If even with people who like this kind of dramas Encounter is in a you love it or you hate it demographics, why would they stand a chance with it?

I don't understand why people who don't like melodramas try to watch Encounter. You'll obviously hate it. As of me, I found it extremely sweet and healing.

Mr. Kim passed away 4 years later after a liver cancer. His son (yeah, the screenwriters made him a daughter in the movie) said he turned to drinking and mentioned it was because people turned against him.
Peter had no idea about this and kept looking for him until 2016, when he himself passed away. They never met again.
It's a beautiful, heartbreaking story, but the truth is just... too much.

I can't be the only one who thinks CWB is also a scumbag. Next to Hyuk he seems quite nice but I still can't stand him. He uses and tosses away anyone that gets in the way, was ready to leave his little brother in the rain to die, PUSHED SUNNY OFF A CLIFF, etc. Of course, I do understand all his actions and what pushed him to do all that, but I still can't stand the possibility of him and Sunny ending up together. I can only hope he gets his revenge and then die. Sunny goes raise Ari in a healthier household other than that god forsaken castle. Only her. No CWB, no Hyuk.

Watching this for Seolhyun. I love her and she's getting better and better as an actress. Memoir of a Murderer and The Great Battle were awesome, I hope this is a good follow up for her.

You watched 8 episodes out of 48. You didn't get even halfway through the whole thing yet you feel like your review will be accurate. It isn't. The Last Empress started as a trainwreck but took such a huge turn and went from corny soap opera to an amazing drama in just a couple episodes after where you stopped.

so poorly made. character are awfully constructed and it lacks plot. very disappointing.
