i dropped this somewhere in the middle, i remember there was an episode with sooo many slow motions of the main leads and i got super bored. really didn't like the chemistry between them, such a weird pairing i dunno.
The thing is.. Soo Ah is the main character whether you like it or not. She's everything this drama is about and…
Yeon Doo is discouraged by other people, sure, but that's in no way comparable to a lifetime of psychological abuse from your own mother. Yeon Doo has been told by her mother to do her best and be happy because she will love her anyway. Soo Ah has been told by her mother to do someone else's best because her best was not enough, not even worth her time. I wasn't trying to excuse her actions, I was trying to explain them.
The thing is.. Soo Ah is the main character whether you like it or not. She's everything this drama is about and she's the only one actually important to the story. This drama is about the pressure that is put upon children because of school and good grades, it's about the mental abuse that children suffer from their parents and the depression this causes. It's about teenage suicides because of something so trivial as being 1st place. It's fucked up that's what this drama is trying to tell you through Soo Ah's story.
Yeah this drama is a lot like BOF but instead of harassing her, the guys are trying to protect her. Really cute, also the main lead looks strangely like a mix between Lee Min Ho and Yan Jerry.
I really don't know how they can salvage his character at this point. It would be better if he was just an asshole in general, but the fact that he treats Ha Ri nicely and others like crap is scary and disgusting to me. It reminds me of the saying: “A person who is nice to you but cruel to the waiter isn’t a nice person.”
I kind of have a theory that i'm not really sure about because if it were true then this drama would turn really…
yes yes that was I thought from the moment they revealed the hit and run thing. This is just something I thought about because of the whole grudge thing, because no matter how I think about it I still don't think they would let Sun Ae actually sleep with the Chef in Bong Sun's body, it just seems wrong. But at the same time, if she doesn't then she becomes an evil spirit which is also a no-no. That's why I thought that maybe if her grudge was something different it could be solved and offer a closure for the story.
I kind of have a theory that i'm not really sure about because if it were true then this drama would turn really really dark, but..is it possible that Sun Ae is not really a virgin? The scene where the police officer stood over her body looked like a motel room and it made me wonder if he did something else to her before he killed her..Maybe thats her grudge and she just doesn't know yet? But again I'm not entirelly sure they would go that road, it's just that I am expecting some kind of plot twist and seeing as Sun Ae is getting so much screentime it would make sense for the drama to be more about her story that just the loveline between Bong Sun and Chef.
I hope he falls in love with the real sun bong not the personality of the ghost. Yeah she's fun and bubbly but…
I think he already said in one episode that he likes her the best when she's neither depressed or manic and we can already see that Bong Sun is much brigther when she's not plagued by ghosts so in the end she will be somewhere in the middle just like he said.
It says thriller but is it scary? can someone tell me?
It's hard to tell right now because there's only 2 episodes out and usually kdramas with some detective genre in it have the first 1-4 episodes about the backstory and those are usually much darker than the rest of the drama. Considering all of the leads seem to be a bit quirky and eccentric, i assume this is going to be a normal rom-com with some mystery.
Is Lee Jun Yeong his older brother? I don't remember them saying that in the drama.
Yeah I know that, and agree with you on Min, he being the psycho makes much more sense, considering Lee Hyun had his father's undivided attention and the father barely even noticed Min, it's usually the neglected individual who grows up with some sort of issues. But what I meant was whether it is possible for Jun Yeong to be his brother, I mean they do have the same surname and it seemed as if he was familiar with the father and expectant of Lee Hyun, half-brother's maybe? i mean with the way the father was paranoid of Lee Hyun ending up the same as him, it would make sense to me.
slightly inspired by BBC's Sherlock I would say, not the story but similar OST and editing and of course the character traits, but those are typical for every eccentric sociopath ever..
