I know that the sneaky bastard was planning to do that, but didn't you see how the guard let his guard down and welcomed him with open gate and arms simply because the emperor was asking for him to come back...He even had the chance to cover his tracks and hid what happened since no one could question the crown prince, if he was still banished, he wouldn't be able the do that, and unfortunately that's why the enemy caught them off-guard...

The second prince was effectively banished but was permitted to return because the emperor sought to control Yang Ying through him. I acknowledge that he didn't know he would become the crown prince before meeting the emperor, but that doesn't alter my argument. The fact that he was allowed to return was a result of Yang Ying's decision, giving him the opportunity. The guard was looking for him and opened the gate for him with open arms because the emperor was asking for him to come back. The second prince managed to cover his tracks too and hid what happened because he is the crown prince, if he was still banished, he wouldn't be able to do that... Unfortunately, covering his tracks helped massively on catching them off guard
1. The title should have been A Journey To Demise, it would have been a proper title.
2. At the end, even princess Yue died, that's why she saw the son of Ning and Ren then later on she saw the whole gang...
3. Princess Yang Ying... Not wantlng to be a canary in a golden cage, she literally caused the demise of all her friends (indirectly but still...) 💀💀💀 damn! She wanted to be an empress instead of going home, to control her, the emperor of An forgave his son and let him come back, guess what, he bought the enemy with him and it went downhill from there, starting with Mr. Poker Face.

I am not into movies in general, the last one I watched if I am not mistaken was "Yesterday Once More" starring Arthur Chen. It was a pretty good one, unfortunately I can't say the same about this one 😣 It was underwhelming. There were couple of funny jokes here and there, the rest is highly uninteresting and skippable
I played it safe; after watching the first couple of episodes, I decided not to touch this drama until it finishes airing xD. Seeing the rating of this drama, I believe I made the wise decision 😁.
I keep checking this page now and then, hoping for some good news... I can't accept the fact that this may never see the light of day :(
Ni Ni is one of my favorite actresses; she is truly amazing. Unfortunately, she doesn't work on dramas as much as the likes of Bai Lu, Yang Zi... That's why a shelved drama like this is a big miss.
If you're contemplating whether to start watching this or not, the answer is a resounding no, I repeat, NO.
I am honestly bewildered about why the main actors agreed to lead in this drama! The writing is awful, to say the least.
Initially, I thought the male lead acting like a 6-year-old around the female lead was the worst thing about this drama... Somehow, the female lead has a strong case whether her character is worse than his 😂
