f*ck... I read the manga... I can't watch this anymore... But for those who might not know and skeptic on watching…
I don't know.. it's just me.. I can't watch movies that I already know what will happen... like when I already read a certain manga, I don't watch its anime adaptation since I already know what will happen..
if you don't mind watching too much violence and gore.. this one is good for you..intriguing and really fast paced.. I really enjoyed this movie, since I can stand watching too much violence and gore..
This is japan's version of "The Devil Wears Prada"... joke.. not really that similar but has some similarities.. anyways I think Keiko's acting is not that good in this movie.. I think she's a miscast in this movie.. sorry to her fans but that's my opinion.
This might be boring if not for Tsutsumi Shinichi's portrayal of Oguro. This guy is so good in acting. I first saw him on maiko haaaan and he seems to be not that comic actor.. I never expected this movie to be really funny. Shinichi's comedy act seems so natural that even his facial expressions were funny...
And ofc as always Takayuki Yamada's portrayal of his character is also good.
So try this if you want something funny and interesting.

Psh! Count me disappointed. Bought into the hype thinking it was one of those few Japanese movies worth watching…
I kinda enjoyed this movie but I'm also disappointed at the same time. I think we're on the same boat. This movie has a very good premise but It has a lot of flaws that I can't overlook. A guy with superbrain, lots of money and super strength but meh., why does he don't use his resources when it is needed. Especially on the last part where he got run by a car many times. WTF is he thinking. Does he really have a superbrain? Also this guy doesn't dodge anything at all. That part is really BS. This movie is best described as what you have mentioned "super smart/high intelligence guy doesnt always come off as super smart".
people who loved the anime will surely love this.. but those who haven't seen the anime/manga might not.. So if you haven't seen the manga/anime and decided to watch this. Just keep in mind that this is not regular tennis. They have special moves which are not possible in real life lawn tennis, but some are possible on table tennis(LOL).
I really like this movie.. Very simple and relatable.. Almost everyone had experienced living in a dorm with friends.. So if you have experienced living in a dorm and want to watch something about it, watch this...
