I was hesitant about this drama but decided to give it a try and I'm currently watching it. My biggest worry was how they would show the job of a soldier. I thought they may try to make it look easier than it is in reality and that it wouldn't affect the relationship between lovers much. I'm positively surprised. Moral issues, politics, anxiety and death that can come anytime- the drama shows all of these.
There's no plot though. And it's unrealistic. Some scenes are just ridiculous. Also, it's funny how they are speaking English fluently but their pronunciation is quite weird (it doesn't really bother me so it's ok).
One last thing I have to mention is that the male lead is vary charming. I don't share his beliefs and don't like his proffesion but really like his personality. Song Joong Ki is doing a great job.

The acting was weak? For me it was incredible, particulary Jun Kwang Ryul, Choi Min Soo and even Yeo Jin Goo did great. You can point out quite a few weak sides of the drama but definitely not the acting.
Despite all the unrealistic parts, I totally loved it. Incredible acting, music and shots, the writing could have been better though. I'm not a fan of historical dramas but I really enjoyed it and got interested in those historical events as well as in King Yeong Jo, so I plan to watch ''Sado''.
Yeo Jin Goo did a wonderful job, I'm in awe of him. He's only 19 but he was amazing as a king, I would say I liked his acting more than Jang Geun Suk's. When he played an adult and a father he wasn't lacking in any way. Also I couldn't feel the age difference between the two leads at all. I can't wait for the dramas/movies he'll play in in the future. :)

I had totally forgotten about her using magic in the temple but thanks to you I remember now! and I agree with you- she should have been told everything. Still I'm not sure if she's mentaly strong enought to be told all those cruel things.

Yess Choi Hyun Seo should have made things clear in the beginning. Seo Ri wouldn't have hanged out with Poong Yeon outside and nothing would have happened. But you have to remember that she only has her 'powers' when the curse is active and there's no boundary- that's also when the shamennes can sense her. So she is like a child, she needs to rely on others and wouldn't be able to take care of the problem alone that's why I understand Yeo Gwang. He probably couldn't have come up with any other way to light the candles and simply didn't want the girl to break down.
This show is so silly that I'm kind of embarrassed about watching it but the two guys make me want to see next eps. They are just super sweet I love both of them.

@Emily I don't think so. One can always change their rating. If no one rated airing dramas, it would be hard to choose what to watch. Also, if you weren't allowed to rate a show before you complete it, then you shouldn't be allowed to rate dramas you dropped as well.
I have no idea what Shin Suk Ho sees in Geu Rin. He's dealing with serious problems, being clever, cunning adult man- CEO and having everyone rely on him, while she's sometimes totally like a kid. He must only be attracted to her innocence, pretty face and young body, sorry.
Even Ha Neul got pissed of because she's dumb. Up until now, I have been thinking that she only pretends not to notice his weird behavior and feelings in order not to make their realationship complicated but she must really be foolish. I appreciate her beautiful caring heart but she's so clueless and naive. :(
Ha Neul should have listened to Yun Soo and do not rush things. Asking his sister to date him out of the blue- he went insane bacause of her silliness, great. The romance in this drama is crap but the bromance is heartwarming.
I love Yun Soo, he's sweet and inteligent but if i were him, I wouldn't go so easy on the 'mommy'.
Why would she draw a green umbrella over him when she is not aware of her own feelings?? Doesnt make sense silly…
She acts like a girl who has a crush but then it turns out she's clueless about the meaning of her actions. It's pissing me off. What's wrong with her?

I felt bad for Yeoning in those two eps, he cried his eyes out. Yeo Jin Goo's acting is nice and he's cute haha
It didn't seem like he was looking condescending to me. His personality is supposed to be odd but at the same time kind of down-to-earth(?). He's a lawyer, aware of other people's problems and the problems of the society. Gong Shim was hiding in the trash and later in a trash can (was it a trash can?) because she thinks she's useless. Ahn Dan Tae got it, he was a little shocked and didn't know what to do at first, he felt sorry for her. This guy is really considerate weirdo- I love his character even more now, he's not like other romance leads.

I rated it 3/10 (it's nicely filmed) after the first two eps. You are right, it was extremely boring but after third and forth ep I gave the show 8/10. Now I truly enjoy watching it.
