Tencent is doing it again! Although I actually quite expected it. So for VVIP, they can watch everything by the…
It'll probably be available in unofficial sites a day after, the only problem is waiting for the subs.

She's a fantastic actress, perfect for such roles so I think that's why she always gets them. The food cinematography…
To be fair, Zhao Lu Si is still young and fairly new to the industry. It's actually reasonable and typical for her to be typecasted in roles which she excels, she has plenty of chance to explore meatier roles in the future as she matures in her acting, right now she has neither the acting chop nor versatility to carry serious roles.

Zhao Lusi will star in "The Long Ballad" in a role that will definitely be more serious, so if you're interested,…
I doubt she's in it for a more "serious" role, she's probably casted as a comedic relief character.

... and she calls him tortoise hair. Tortoises have no hair! So funny! XD XD XD
OMG! HAHAHA, I almost choked on my lunch when I read that!

I went to that episode to check it out and I did not see it?
Ah, I see it now. Lol, that's kind of funny, they probably played the video backward.

Dropping this. The first 2 episodes are hilarious. Then he turns into a pervert. Dislike her girl friend who uses…
I don't think he was being a pervert at all. Sheng Nan initiated the whole thing by using beauty trick and getting up close and personal in his space, he simply returned the gesture by playing with her at her own game. And honestly, the sexual tension was already there, the seduction game was only a catalyst. I only dislike the fact that he led her on only to backtrack a couple of episodes later. I kind of want Sheng Nan to torture him for a bit by playing hard to get, but at the same time, I want them together already.

Her friends are indeed terrible people, but they become bearable and actually made it up to her in later episodes so I tolerate them for now.

Try using VPN and choose other location in Asia, I'm still able to watch it in WeTV.
Download any VPN app on play or app store (you probably have to pay but there's a free trial for most), change location to Asia, and then open WeTV app.

Both are adults. No need to make that an issue. I see in the west (on tv) that there are many real life couples…
Very true, I want to squeal over hot, sexy man, not boy.

She's really good and endearing in this type of character that it's hard to hate her. I don't usually watch Chinese…
Yeah, she has a knack of making this type of character works and she does it so effortlessly. I just love her face expressions and her huge grin whenever she tries to be mischievous.

The dialogues are unexpectedly good. So funny!
"How old are you?" "I'm 大叔." LMAO!!! So many witty and funny dialogues, I was in stitches! And I love that they're pointing out the age gap in the drama, I thought it was smart and cheeky of them to be self aware and have fun with it. I also love the meaningful dialogue, in which Lu Jin made a reference of his preference for Sheng Nan through her cooking, it's both cute and sweet at the same time.

Zhao Lu Si is absolutely a "shǎ bái tián" here, so adorable.
She's really good and endearing in this type of character that it's hard to hate her. I don't usually watch Chinese modern drama but checked this out for her, I'm hooked right from the start and I just love her bubbly energy.

I really dislike her "friends" in episode 2, ik only 8 episodes are out but do they appear often?
Me too, they're really terrible people and she's even related to one of them.

Does anyone know when the vip videos will be updated? I binged and watched all 8 episodes without thinking about…
They'll update 2 more episodes tonight for VIP, and then it's 4 episodes per week, unless of course, if they decide to release all episodes for paid ultra fast broadcast (usually around the third or fourth week). I'm trying to hold back from gobbling it up because I hate the wait in between.

Wow, just wow. So many kisses and unabashed make out sessions (not complaining), which is so rare in dramaland that it should be a crime in romance drama. The plot is light and basically non-existent but the main couple is a joy to watch and the male lead's two buddies are a bonus. My only complaint is that I do not enjoy the obsessive love from both the male and female second leads, it's repetitive in the two characters and doubled the annoying factor. And the Yun Si guy has a tendency to overact and exaggerate his facial expressions, it's so painful to watch. The only saving grace of this drama is the OTP coughandtheirmakeoutsessionscough, I can watch them all day.

I started this yesterday and was immediately hooked, binged 24 episodes in one sitting. The cinematography is no joke, every scenery in the earlier episodes is just breathtaking and beautifully shot. And the plot moves swiftly, I found myself surprised and gasping at every turn of event. I wish I had started with this director's cut version because, as you said, it might help to understand Li Cheng Yin's character and motivation better, right now he comes across as a selfish jerk who doesn't deserve Xiao Feng. However, I do feel for his character and Xiao Feng's romantic attachment to him, I'm rooting for them more for her sake than his. I know this ends in tragedy but hopefully, there's enough sweetness to counter the bitter end. Btw, mind sharing where you saw the short clip of their modern life?
