Well, while I'm not a series "rewatcher" in most cases, TMS1 is one that I did return to several times.I think…
You okay? Firstly, i didnt call him stupid...I called him out for spreading a lie about a character, its not a subjective or abstract matter for anyone to have "takeaways".

"Jiwoo from S1 magically appeared by the end of the series" is simply not true. S1 Jiwoo literally rushed Seojoon out of the house and SJ had to comfort and reassured him. S2 Jiwoo by the end of the series, made different efforts to repair their relationship.

Lets be clear here, you can have different opinion on whether you like or dislike a show but making up a lie is just a cheap trick.

Good writeups and explanation! Im not confident how it will resonate with some of the negative reviewers here…
Touching on the topic about his trauma, yes, apart of it is his parents past and the subsequent events that follows. Losing your parents is never easy and having to live in a toxic surrounding shouldnt make than any easier either. You can easily tell that he had a rough experience with people around him by the way he is soo guarded up and the things he said ; like talking down on his ability or feeling perceived as mooching over people. People dont adopt that kindof mentality for fun.

Explain how does that remove the fact that "he can be lonely in relationship" ? What does being an outcast have anything to do with his heightened feeling of loneliness while in a relationship? What Jiwoo feel is not abnormal because, firstly, Da Seul talked about having interest and studying humanism issue, so she clearly know what she was working on and second, i stumbled a viral TikTok video that shares similar experience with Jiwoo ; Having your entire world revolves around one person, and because they fill the entire you, when they arent around, you feel the hollowness residing. Thats an EVEN WORSE feeling than being shunned out by some random villager that he dont care about. Why exactly wouldnt it makes sense for him to be in Haseong where he is in the comfort of the single mom and her daughter? Furthermore, what makes you think Jiwoo cares about how many customers his restaurant has? His previous workingrestaurant with Hyunggi had a shitty attendance as well, so i dont understand where you feel that was the case for him ever. He just loves ....cooking. Not everyone strives for a successful career and as remarked by SJ, he is a S, not a N. He is a doer, not a dreamer.

You either lied, possesses a bad memory or you intentionally fabricated an information about a character and sell a misguided review . It can be either of the above and it doesnt disprove my point.

"I returned to watch the first season several times"

I doubt this is true. You literally remembered Jiwoo as a completely different person.

You posted a sarcastic review that sound like a retaliation from seeing compliments surrounding this series and dares to sit here and call people out for petty disagreements? You are literally mocking a character you have ZERO understanding on. Every dialogue in the series exist for you to read and interpret as it is, not for you to make your own speculations and shift the narratives.

"His character from Season 1 would 'miraculously' appeared at the end? What show were you watching again?

Jiwoo in the first 7 episodes of this season is literally the same Jiwoo from the first season ; whose first instinct when faced with a problem is to escape and pushes SJ away. At the very end of this season, he ultimately took the leap of courage to pursue him, something S1 Jiwoo NEVER HAD IN HIM.

Even then, he dont completely mold into a different character LOL, he was barely able to muster enough courage to speak during the entire stair scene. The only thing that took a 180° is your logic.

Wow, that's long. I kinda wanna give my two cents on some of the things you said here, which I'm assuming are…
Good writeups and explanation! Im not confident how it will resonate with some of the negative reviewers here because they are set their ways, for whatever reason and just reeks self entitlement.

Jiwoo is by no means, a perfect character. He makes irrational decision when he is stucked on a corner, as he can admit himself (finally) by the end of Season 2, "I'm sorry for being a coward". He is a broken and flawed man, but it also makes him human and as much as some people here likes to act strangely around this concept, he is more similar to most of us than you think. We have our bad days and we've been shitty to people that dont deserves it, it doesnt define who you are though. Jiwoo made a mistake, he owns to it and grows out of it.

The second season is presented for us to explore on his character and insecurity that deeply bothering his thought process and approach in life that heavily weighed on him even by the end of the first season. While he continues to drown on that negative head space, it leads us to the event that transpired in the second season and giving him a deserved developments with overcoming it.

Honestly, i've loved this sequel and everything that it offered. I do feel like the concept is something unfamiliar to the main BL audience...considering what comes out of this genre in recent years. People adopted shallow mindset and standard.

Its abit ridiculous if you ask for a specific reason why two person fell for each other. Was that ever the case…
You are convinced but i dont see this self proclaimed "objective" perspective when you literally questioned how they fell for each other when its made OBVIOUS multiple time in the first season through action, gesture and even words. You also pointed out "lack of nuances" which i cant disagree even harder. It is quite the opposite, its one of the series strength. There's LITERALLY a shot ; where Jiwoo stood on a crosswalk with a dejected expression that vividly resembles the same scene in Season 1 when he ran off after the Blackmail issue. Nuances are in their eyes, in their dialogues, its ridiculous how anyone can address it as this series "weak" aspect. I just cant wrap my head around that.

Not completely sure if you skim through the episodes but yes, the supporting characters did expand and put emphasizes on the main characters story and the plot itself. Without Dakyung and Yoo Ha ( aside from being significant support system for Jiwoo), we wouldnt get to explore more om Seojoon's backstory with his parent, Yoo Ha's sudden disappearance that mirror Jiwoo's and its direct implication on Seojoon? Or DaKyung struggle as a single mom that render her the best role to speak on what took place with Jiwoo's parent situation. This series literally leaps up and beyond in terms of storytelling and characters compared to ANY BL this year, its just extremely upsetting to see some people like you that dismiss the creative works that goes on this project. Its almost always either fluff, shallow, fiction and romanticization with BL content throughout their long history of existence and it has majorly tainted this fandom perception for a "good story" and "nuances".

Also, i stressed this in my original reply but please take a step back and think throughly before inserting yourself in topic like mental health. Most people dont reach out for professional health FOR MULTIPLE REASON. I'd sit here and elaborate if its not such a hassle to reply on this site. On the other hand, you can opt to do your own research on this particularly sensitive topic. Both you and Margi have spoken tactlessly on this matter.

Your review is solid! I like how you explored the depth of the story from this angle.Have to agree with you, in…
Its abit ridiculous if you ask for a specific reason why two person fell for each other. Was that ever the case for anyone? If you ask for how their mutual attraction first come around, it can be pieced in from different little scene between the series. The acknowledging gazes, longing eyes, and being swept by the feeling of jealousy are vivid signs that they indeed had feeling for each other. Most notably, they both professed admiration for each other's way in expressing themselves. JW very first compliment for SJ is how he wear his heart on his sleeves and honest with everything.
While SJ talked about JW character "with walls" that make him appear like a strong person. Its actually soo cute, they are two completely different people but they find comfort between each other in those differences.

I'd have to disagree with both OP and your commentary on mental trauma topic because what you both dont realize is that you dismiss and severely downplay the affect of traumas in different cases. There are people struggling with it, and still struggling with it from times to times, people just learn to live with it but no they arent always easy. They interferes with your thought process and sometimes you made a decision in the spur of the moment and surrender to that negative thought. That kindof things happens, even to person that dont suffer it. I'd also like to briefly talk about insecurities because its also being touched on in the series. Its something that we all experience to some degree so i find it pretty disheartening to see comments that tackles this issue tactlessly.

Lastly, i think you overestimate the importance of mere supporting characters in a story. They are there to directly or indirectly expand on the main characters and plot through dialogues or minor events, which...they have been.

You're definitely missing a narrative there because it is clear that Sungyoon have a great significance to Jiwoo and his insecurity.

The actors have both said this, but this series is filled with little details that connect the story that you'd easily miss in a first watch and i will say i rarely find a rewatch that feel like a slightly new experience as with this show.

Are you actually joking? A 1? Dont get me wrong, im far from suprised that some people find it hard to digest the topics they approach this season and the depth in how they explore it because it deviates from EVERYTHING typical BL watchers accustomed to, but lowest score possible simply mean you dismiss any strength this series have and i cant help but find that disrespectful. The production and cinematography is a big leap from the first season and heaps better than alot of BLs released this year. If you dislike the story atleast show some respect to the work behind to make this series possible.
