Well, while I'm not a series "rewatcher" in most cases, TMS1 is one that I did return to several times.I think…
You okay? Firstly, i didnt call him stupid...I called him out for spreading a lie about a character, its not a subjective or abstract matter for anyone to have "takeaways".
"Jiwoo from S1 magically appeared by the end of the series" is simply not true. S1 Jiwoo literally rushed Seojoon out of the house and SJ had to comfort and reassured him. S2 Jiwoo by the end of the series, made different efforts to repair their relationship.
Lets be clear here, you can have different opinion on whether you like or dislike a show but making up a lie is just a cheap trick.
Good writeups and explanation! Im not confident how it will resonate with some of the negative reviewers here…
Touching on the topic about his trauma, yes, apart of it is his parents past and the subsequent events that follows. Losing your parents is never easy and having to live in a toxic surrounding shouldnt make than any easier either. You can easily tell that he had a rough experience with people around him by the way he is soo guarded up and the things he said ; like talking down on his ability or feeling perceived as mooching over people. People dont adopt that kindof mentality for fun.

Explain how does that remove the fact that "he can be lonely in relationship" ? What does being an outcast have anything to do with his heightened feeling of loneliness while in a relationship? What Jiwoo feel is not abnormal because, firstly, Da Seul talked about having interest and studying humanism issue, so she clearly know what she was working on and second, i stumbled a viral TikTok video that shares similar experience with Jiwoo ; Having your entire world revolves around one person, and because they fill the entire you, when they arent around, you feel the hollowness residing. Thats an EVEN WORSE feeling than being shunned out by some random villager that he dont care about. Why exactly wouldnt it makes sense for him to be in Haseong where he is in the comfort of the single mom and her daughter? Furthermore, what makes you think Jiwoo cares about how many customers his restaurant has? His previous workingrestaurant with Hyunggi had a shitty attendance as well, so i dont understand where you feel that was the case for him ever. He just loves ....cooking. Not everyone strives for a successful career and as remarked by SJ, he is a S, not a N. He is a doer, not a dreamer.

You either lied, possesses a bad memory or you intentionally fabricated an information about a character and sell a misguided review . It can be either of the above and it doesnt disprove my point.

You posted a sarcastic review that sound like a retaliation from seeing compliments surrounding this series and dares to sit here and call people out for petty disagreements? You are literally mocking a character you have ZERO understanding on. Every dialogue in the series exist for you to read and interpret as it is, not for you to make your own speculations and shift the narratives.
"His character from Season 1 would 'miraculously' appeared at the end? What show were you watching again?
Jiwoo in the first 7 episodes of this season is literally the same Jiwoo from the first season ; whose first instinct when faced with a problem is to escape and pushes SJ away. At the very end of this season, he ultimately took the leap of courage to pursue him, something S1 Jiwoo NEVER HAD IN HIM.
Even then, he dont completely mold into a different character LOL, he was barely able to muster enough courage to speak during the entire stair scene. The only thing that took a 180° is your logic.
Wow, that's long. I kinda wanna give my two cents on some of the things you said here, which I'm assuming are…
Good writeups and explanation! Im not confident how it will resonate with some of the negative reviewers here because they are set their ways, for whatever reason and just reeks self entitlement.
Jiwoo is by no means, a perfect character. He makes irrational decision when he is stucked on a corner, as he can admit himself (finally) by the end of Season 2, "I'm sorry for being a coward". He is a broken and flawed man, but it also makes him human and as much as some people here likes to act strangely around this concept, he is more similar to most of us than you think. We have our bad days and we've been shitty to people that dont deserves it, it doesnt define who you are though. Jiwoo made a mistake, he owns to it and grows out of it.
The second season is presented for us to explore on his character and insecurity that deeply bothering his thought process and approach in life that heavily weighed on him even by the end of the first season. While he continues to drown on that negative head space, it leads us to the event that transpired in the second season and giving him a deserved developments with overcoming it.
Honestly, i've loved this sequel and everything that it offered. I do feel like the concept is something unfamiliar to the main BL audience...considering what comes out of this genre in recent years. People adopted shallow mindset and standard.

I doubt this is true. You literally remembered Jiwoo as a completely different person.
