After continuing to watch this show, my original opinion has changed a little. I like that the show is lighthearted and it's not trying to be obnoxiously funny with the "guy pretending to be a girl" trope. I hate Eui Soo and I do not see any point in him being a part of this plot. The chemistry also increased in episodes 5 and 6 so, that was nice to watch, but knowing that there are only two episodes left, that chemistry is not going to get it's time to bloom into a romance and I find that sad but meh it is what it is. Every problem I have and had with this show can be solved by increase in the duration of the show, but knowing that these projects are running on low funds and exposure, I understand that there is only so little the production can do with it. Nonetheless, I have enjoyed it. It's cute for what its worth. Can't wait to see what episode 7 and 8 brings us, especially with the angsty ending to episode 7. Last note- I liked that ryu didn't want to "continue" the marriage with kiwan's sister, it makes his feelings for kiwan appear more sincere, I like his character :)
Loved it...too much crying but that's the beauty of the show. The cinematography was just the best thing ever,…
btw the bra scene...oh dear god, what do I even say, the sheer amount of pain that went through my body as PP went through it, was unbearable. literal goosebumps in my arm and tears down my face, as hysterical as PP was fuck it has to be one of the best scenes ever in bl history. its so powerful, speaks volumes in just about 2 minutes of its duration.
Loved it...too much crying but that's the beauty of the show. The cinematography was just the best thing ever, ever, ever, I loved it so much. The characters are really well played, PP is so pretty tbh :( Sometimes it got a little boring for me since the episodes are like hour long and my attention span isn't always that great. Nonetheless, was able to pull through and am really happy that I did because it's one of my fav series right now and will forever be so until something as beautiful and serene as this show comes in the future.
Wow, everyone loves this show but for some reason I just couldn't relate. This was the straightest bl I have ever watched, the pair didn't do it for me, the storyline was actually good. Would have enjoyed this much better if there weren't much filler scenes and if sarawat and tine were played by someone different or they had more chemistry. (with that being said, sarwatine are very attractive, I can see why they were casted for the show)
I had so much expectations because finally GAYS IN JOSEON ERA. So that being said, first two episodes were too fast paced, the editing is done weirdly (and I know it doesn't flow as much nicely because korean bl dramas are supposed to be movies or whatever), the acting is so-so, they didn't even try to do anything about Sejin's voice (which btw kept distracting me while I was watching the episodes because no one was questioning it), I was happy that In Soo already knows that Sejin is a boy so we don't have to go through the whole angsty thing later on. So far, all of this would have been better if this was released as a movie from the beginning. Not bad of a watch though, lighthearted and fun to watch, but binging it would be better than waiting for episodes that are 10 minutes long only.
SPOILER/PLOTHOLE ALERT:So if Tian's father asked Phupha to watch over Tian, wouldn't he mention that Tian had…
Hmmm, you are right. I did question this when it was revealed that Phupha had been watching over Tian because of his dad. The whole point of the dad making Phupha watch over him is because Tian just had a heart transplant and he had run away from home in a critical condition, so the father not mentioning about it to Phupha does seem like a plothole in the show.
The chemistry was great, the story was great, the cinematography was great. Everything about this was great. I loved it, one of my fav show I have ever watched.
I don't understand why the ending seemed a little underwhelming for me. There were so many questions I had for both the side couples. Hopefully all my questions will be answered in the third season as they teased it at the ending of the last episode. One last thing is that She De and Shu Yi's acting carried the entire show, the story (like the plot) felt flat at times but the emotions they brought to life through their character had me keep on watching the show. My final thoughts on the last episode was that their (referring to shi de and shu yi) chemistry just vanished for me, maybe because the first 5 episodes were so intense, that the calm final episode felt unsatisfying to me.
