This is work related and it’s the painter who’s looking for her. She has no interest in him. She felt insecure but at the same time she has no right to question him because their relationship is not real. This is my opinion only.

She’s taking on too much and she lacks the expertise. She should have attended the merger meeting. She often lets her emotion rule her judgement. She could have pretended that she knew about the merger instead of letting ZD have the upper hand.

It depends on the context . Some words
or phrases are so poorly translated that it does great injustice to a good drama.

You are both correct. 喜欢 (xihuan)is usually use as like but also means fond of. In CD the 喜欢
is like as in romantic terms but here it should be 爱 (Ai) . Like other languages Chinese words loses their meaning in translation.

Yes that’s what I meant he let his actions speak for himself .However at the time when she needed the assurance he didn’t assure her. I supposed it’s better than sweet talk and no actions.

HT's understanding of love is different . He mentioned that the idiom that one cannot pass judgment until the lid is on the coffin because during the journey in between , one cannot guarantee anything. It's only at the end of a person's life that there's a conclusion, so JX will know if HT truly love her only when it's the end of his life's journey. It's true but not the assurance that JX wants to hear. His actions (going to her rescue, his protection in the business world and personal life) do convey the kind of love she expects from him although his words doesn't.
