Random thought but the amount of product placement in this drama is insane XD Maybe it's because I'm not used…
Agree with jungshooky. This drama is not too bad . Some other dramas have got more product placement ranging from beauty products, snacks and drinks ( FIYS has many product placements-KFC, drinks, lipstick, face masks, etc). I tried Rio after watching one of the modern dramas pretty good.
I just started this drama and im on ep 3 and the fl mom is pissing me off like crazy but the fl boyfriend's mother…
The first few episodes not really until FL meets the mother then she has small scenes in the episodes. I cannot remember which ones but quite short scenes.
There is a discussion thread above which explains the relationship between the grandmother, Yao Zhiming, and the…
Yes but the way uncle, aunty etc to show respect is addressed is not the same as the relatives. Eg I call an older lady not related to me as ‘Ayi’ but if it’s my father’s married sister I will address her as ‘gumu’. If it’s my mother’s sister then I will address her according to her ranking in the family if she’s the eldest then I will address her as ‘dayi’. If she’s the youngest then ‘xiaoyi’.

Maybe the synopsis is meant to be vague so we watch the drama and the story unfolds otherwise if everything is mentioned then there is no element of surprise. That’s my opinion though.

Throughout the drama it’s explained that ML and FL do not have any blood relation but Grandma brought ML to the Mai family so he can have somewhat of a family which have been lacking when he was growing up.
@whoissilmoy老太太 lǎo tài tai is a polite way of addressing an elderly lady or someone’s mother.
@whoissilmoy YZM did not talk to the man’s wife. He found the man’s place of employment and his wife’s phone number and told him that if he doesn’t withdraw the charges he will sue him for harrassing an elderly lady. In situations like this the other person’s wife plays a more effective role than anyone because if his wife comes to know then he will land in hot soup.
She doesn't see any need to change her attitude because she thinks she's correct. She will justify all her actions…
I feel for you. I know how it feels. Asian parents (the traditional ones) tend to bring up their children that it’s their duty and responsibility to take care of their parents when they are. That’s how my mother raised me and my sisters. When we were young we don’t think so much. We just accept it. That’s what’s happening here as well. If you’ve been conditioned that you are responsible for your parents when they are old, you just accept it and do your best. Agree that you don’t have kids just so there’s someone to take care of you when you are old.
Why tf is the mom so adamant in staying at the house-- how can she be so tenacious and 뻔뻔해 (sorry that's…
She doesn't see any need to change her attitude because she thinks she's correct. She will justify all her actions with her twisted logic .She's got a taste of luxury so she's not giving up on that. The only way to make her move out is to offer her a nice place to stay. When she saw the options of apartments then she said that her bringing up of her daughter is not in vain. She expects her children to take care of her because she gave birth to them. Very old fashioned mindset.
Can you please refresh my memory which episode is this?
