His words doesn't match his action. I cannot remember which episode but it's during New Year when ML took FL to visit Chai Jing and Chai Jing was reminiscing about making dumpling. He said "my pair of hands are for killing. I don't know how to cook" but in the end he helped as well.

I cannot remember which episode but it's the scene where she asked him to rescue Chai Jing and she offer herself to him She listed in detail all the steps there. And here and there, he helped her but in actual fact he wanted to use her to help for him solve the case because he was given only 30 days. And when they we were seated drinking tea( I know they drink a lot of tea but this is the scene where she sat opposite him) she also mentioned all that he has done. He said that with such little clues she was able to come to the correct conclusion.
