Not every critique or comments contrary to what’s been written or not whole heartedly supportive is due to jealousy. And it is insulting to suggest others are whining when their giving input where comments are encouraged. Believe it or not people can like these actresses without believing or accepting what’s written. Not everyone is as petty as you seem to imply. And yes , there are occasions that it is most definitely strictly about acting. This is a business. No matter how beautiful or popular an actress is if she doesn’t measure up to what’s needed she can cost a film production $$$. Yes, these actresses will continue to work and possibly rise to greater heights. But there’s a vast difference between them and actresses that are recognized as elite actresses. These three like their predecessors are pretty, popular and have earned the praise they receive. But in the eyes of some people there not the best and are exercising their right to say so.
Lastly the writer opened the door for comparisons. That’s also part of the business.

Popularity among the Writers, Directors, and producers is what counts most often. So what they started in KPop. That doesn’t eliminate their right to try acting. Popularity is a huge part of the entertainment industry globally. It’s by far not the most important thing in every case
but it shouldn’t be discounted just because the initial foundation of the popularity is KPOP.
I’m not a big fan of any of the three but whatever their skill levels are they’re better than mine.
They’re competing in one of the toughest industries on the planet. And they’re doing it under
the constant scrutiny of people like you who think it’s ok to trash them. It’s not. They’ve done nothing to deserve your attack. There’s also nothing to suggest that they’re anything but class acts. They have escaped scandals and handle the harsh realities of a world that can be brutal
at times with grace and decorum. Sadly the same cannot be said about you.

I hope so for her sake as well as for her loyal fans. Some are very sensitive about any type of constructive criticism of her and interpret it as hate. She’s wildly successful and has earned praise for working hard. But imo, she’s got a huge PR effort that tries to keep her front and center by generating these types of pieces. You tell by some of the comments there efforts are not as successful as they may desire. People like what they like. That’s the nature of the business. Oh and I respectfully disagree about the scripts. I think it’s more a case of her not being offered good scripts or certain scripts that may have appealed to her went to other more talented actresses.

Personally, I think BS, is more of a niche actress that hasn’t shown much diversity and is mediocre at best. That may change with her upcoming roles. I get her appeal and that she has a loyal following. But it’s unfair to actresses with proven track records and multiple success to constantly hold her up as being worthy of the praise and recognition they earned from their superior skill as actresses. As for IU and Yoona they both have gained the confidence of some A-list Directors. But they have a ways to go. IU deserves kudos for successfully maintaining her singing career while working to hone her skills as an actress.

I’m seeing SON YE JIN and BAE DOONA mentioned in reference to SHK & the other 2.
There’s no comparison because both SYJ and BD are recognized in the SK Film Industry as elite CHUNGMURO ACTRESSES which is the equivalent of being HOLLYWOOD SUPERSTARS. And speaking of HOLLYWOOD both have had English speaking roles alongside Hollywood actors. SYJ is the only SK actress that’s both a HALLYU QUEEN and CHUNGMURO QUEEN based on her acting and ability to deliver at the Box Office.

Suzy is getting there? She debuted in 2011, she should be there by now imo. Popularity doesn’t equal talent. And while she has a tremendous amount of one (popularity), she’s sorely lacking in the other imo.
