these government officials were brutal and disrespectful , but even worse IRL

of course it is possible to portray good people in bad organizations,
but these events happened ~35 years ago, so it is understandable that some people who were involved in the IRL events could be troubled when seeing these portrayals

she has to have an evil facade so the other government agents don't figure out she is not on their side

but the government agents were portrayed as somewhat reasonable, when they got a warrant to search the dorm, and when they only sent 1 female agent into the women's sauna
IRL those agents were brutal, not reasonable and would have used a lot of bullets in those 2 scenarios
the only student protestors are supporting roles
the drama will follow the leads, Jung Hae In is probably a NK defector. Jisoo's papa is probably bad news, Yoo In Na and Jung Yoo Jin are probably working against the gov't behind the scenes, Kim Hye Yoon will probably start helping the other leads

no if it gets cancelled Jisoo still gets her huge first lead paycheck

Hopefully, this won't get cancelled before they show the episode with the cameo of Blackpink Jennie.

she kept the other agents out of the sauna room, she ignored the blood on the sauna room floor, she didn't open any of the sauna room drawers (even though the women were very suspicious)
she has to be careful too, because she doesn't want to be exposed as a mole within NIS

Jung Yoo Jin's character is definitely working against the NIS from within.
That will definitely be a "twist" revealed in a few episodes.

still not as bad as what Disney did to Mufasa

In Episode 1, they met the dorm manager's request by obtaining a warrant.
In real life, they likely would have just put a bullet between her eyes.

the buffering helps build suspense

They are pretending he is a North Korean spy so they can murder him.

Hopefully, they will stop being tools of the oppressive government, though.

SHS will be great in this role. Hopefully, some of the other main cast members will be good at acting.
