Hol up, isn't the zhu ye chapter is supposed to be about dongfang huaizhu and wangquan baye (hence the name 'zhu ye')

All police work is important but it feels kinda mismatched that the scriptwriter decided to make Xia Jie's character of all people go down that route since she was fighting so hard to change everyone's 'princess' view of her. Kinda like a backwards character arc that proves the mother right instead and justifies her overbearing behaviour plus kinda implying women are better fitted for household side of things. Then again maybe this was exactly what the writer intended...only that would contradict the anti-overbearing parents storylines.
Ah well it is just a little disappointing is all, her character was quite refreshing in some moments and other parts are written so well

May I ask why the script decided to move Xia Jie to household registration? Doesn't that kind of defeat her whole character arc? I thought her character wanted to prove to everyone that she too can succeed despite gender/family history/social pressure

I think people thought the team was poor because the fabric used looks very cheap

So with the whole budget crisis thing going on, how the heck are they gonna film scenes with super extravagant sets e.g. heavenly palaces, ghost city etc.? Or maybe all the budget is going to CGI?

I think it's bc while 2nd ML can also be deadpan in some scenes, in others he can convey emotion using microexpressions and as someone said above, the character has quite a few layers

What is your source for saying the manhua creator helped write the script? Other people say she was not involved at all especially since there was a copyright debacle btw her and the manhua publishing studio. She herself hasn't said anything except that the audience should treat the drama as separate from the manhua?
