I don't understand Chinese, but after watching so many c dramas I find they are speaking it differently here. Can anyone tell me why their Chinese sound different? Is it from a certain area?
this is kinda random but the actor himself clarified that that is actually his hair and not a wig haha!! i just…
huh, really? Most gangster characters I've seen always look silly like that so I wondered why they had to make the hair look like that. Thanks for the random info :D
Halfway into ep 9 and I'm really sorry if I'm being bad by saying this, but if I were GR I would've just let that HJK go die or whatever she wants XD. Her character with the guilt-tripping and psychological threats is just too much. But then when HJK jumped I was like, well, she's definately not gonna die, maybe just prolly never walk again. I'm pretty sure that next ep preview shows GR at her hospital bedside. Let's see :D
I've watched a lot of his works, and currently watching Stock struck. He's SO GOOD in it, super funny, which kind of solidifies him as a very versatile actor in my mind :D
This is GOOD! Ngl I had no interest in watching this at first, and had to try to watch the first ep a few times before actually getting into it. But turns out this is SO FUNNY! And educational too! I'm not sure if this is just my kind of comedy genre, but I tried watching another currently ongoing comedy drama called Unicorn, & didn't like it at all. This one though, with its sprinkle of romance, I laughed through all 8 eps in no time and can't wait for the rest! :D
When I saw the very first poster and trailer a long time ago I was expecting something a bit serious & heavy and was really looking forward to watch this. When I actually got to watch it, it was the total opposite of what I thought it would be. Apparently the trailers that came out afterwards were more true to the actual drama. Well, I was a bit disappointed XD but so far it's a lighthearted show, nice to watch.
I think I've only watched a few of his recent movies and dramas. However, in my head, every time he's in a historical drama or movie, I'm always expecting him to play the Japanese role or something to do with that :D I wonder if it's because Mr. Sunshine left a strong impression on me :D
WOW. I loved this movie. It's one of the few Chinese movies that I love. I've also watch the Korean drama Move to Heaven and it is similar in that both deals with funeral matters, and both really good tear-jerkers too. Anyway, it's a 10 out of 10 for me, I really recommend this to eveyone.
I wonder why for most chinese gangster type character they insist on giving the guy awful long hair bangs/ extension- i don't know what you call them when the fake hair is just around the front part of the head? Like for the character Zhao Peng Xiang here. I mean why the trouble when they're just going to look weirdly unnatural? Instead of looking menacing it makes them look laughable, at least in my eyes . XD
