I was going to start this because I wanted to see WYB in another drama. I saw the lead actress and even though I haven't seen any of her works, I know she's 10 years older than him. I prayed the "Romance" tag didn't mean a love relationship between them, but I started episode 1 and it confirmed my worst expectations: the age gap between the main leads DOES SHOW in the drama. Even with the pancake of makeup, stylists do a terrible job with the area under her eyes...
What were the producer/director (or whoever is in charge) thinking? Why didn't they another FL or another ML for this drama?? Why the stubbornness in pairing them together??
I want to see it because the story up until the end of this episode was interesting and WYB is more handsome as he smiles and speaks with that beautiful voice of his. But I don't know how many more episodes of age gap I am going to be able to endure. (◡﹏◡✿)
So them being an item is not really confirmed in this drama? Justmutual affection?
They did share a sweet kiss once, and they take care for each other, but it was never officially confirmed infront of everyone. I really think you should give it a chance, the show is great. It only had a rushed and unfinished ending for me.
I've finished this beautiful drama but the end was so rushed and lacking, like so many other dramas. I don't know why they made only 44 episodes. At least we needed two more to see the romance between teacher Deng and Jiao Jia consolidate, and the one between Jia Ren and her nurse blossom.
I wonder if 2 FL will go to private hospital she is superior doctor who was treated horribly feel so bad for her…
Imho, she put herself in that horrible position. She couldn't get a NO for an answer. It was an unrequited love. Dr Deng didn't have to like her just because she liked him.
I'm on episode 7 and I just hate the way HS is always angry or stern, and is always scolding and minimizing NWD. Even now that he has feelings for her! On the other hand, I don't understand why do they say HS is almost 30 and the event of HS's father murder was 10 years ago. She was not "almost 20" when that happened! She was at the most a 10 yo kid!
I didn't like the ending. It was "pseudo happy" but unsatisfactory. Rushed as many drama endings, it left us with many plot holes and needed explanations. (Was it a dream??)
After so many good things, mho is that the writer messed up tremendously. (×̯×)
My thoughts after episode 15: . Why on earth if he's going away and even telling RR he might stay there, why does Jun give her the rings?? OMG it's so cruel!! ಠ~ಠ . The scene where the dr Cha and the bad guy are listening to "Farewell" by Chopin and the doctor explains the author expresses nostalgia for his homeland because he lived elsewhere and then tells he was never able to return. Was it a simil to what's going to happen to Jun?? (╥_╥) . I'm so mad for what I saw in the preview. All the sad faces and cries because Jun wasn't able to come back!!! How can we expect a happy ending after this?? What possible twist can be done here?? ⋋▂⋌ If Jun doesn't come back and he has a happy ending with RR I will consider this the worst drama ending ever. Much much worse than many others I've seen, because after 15 episodes of bliss, cuteness, even comedy and a little distress, we don't deserve such an evil twist and sad ending.
ps. After this "sourness" I'll have to treat myself with some well deserved sweet dessert...
I don't specially like family dramas, however that was not the case with "Reply 1988". I consider it one of my favorite dramas and I enjoyed very much the families from the Ssangmundong neighborhood and the lovely friendship amongst them. (⌒_⌒)
