I was tearing up when the 4 of them finally reconnected — you can see the genuine happiness in their eyes as they recounted past memories even if they did not become close friends during this round.
Keeping my fingers crossed that in the last episode, Achin and Maririn will be able to save Mippon and Nachi including everyone on the flight.
1. I loved how Dong Eun didn’t let go of her plan, didn’t give up. I was really scared she would, and truly…
I completely agree with all the things you’ve pointed out, especially the 3rd one about So Hee.
I expected more with Part 2 after all the built tension in Part 1. I wanted the revelation of Yeon Jin’s crimes to blow out of proportion and I was waiting for them to use So Hee’s frozen corpse as evidence to vividly depict how grave Yeon Jin’s bullying was or expose the recording from Myeong Oh’s tablet.
Nonetheless, I’m satisfied that in the end, everyone got what they deserved.
I have a confusion here. Did she get plastic surgery done or is she wearing her scars with pride now?
She did not get plastic surgery. As seen in Ep 16, she’s wearing short sleeves in the university with a tattoo of the Devil’s trumpet on her right forearm on top of her scars
really enjoyed it!!!!!! i love dong eun and yeojung characters individually but ....... not them as romantic partners…
Shipping the DD couple as well! It might be unrealistic for the ship to sail in this drama but I really hope that Song Hye Kyo and Jung Sung Il will play as leads in another drama in the future — their chemistry should not be wasted.
What a fitting ending to this glorious drama, with justice served right, allowing everyone to get what they deserved — punishment to the perpetrators and their accomplices and new beginnings to the victims.
But honestly, I was hoping that Part 2 will end with a bang, with all the tension built up in Part 1. I wanted the revelation of Yeon Jin’s crimes to blow out of proportion, with her prestige and power being abruptly stripped away. I was waiting for them to use So Hee’s frozen corpse as evidence to vividly depict how grave Yeon Jin’s bullying was or exposing the recording from Myeong Oh’s tablet.
Nonetheless, I loved how Dong Eun orchestrated everything by doing in depth research about the people who destroyed her, like setting up the stones in a Go board, and letting everything play out since she knew the characters well. The plan was so elaborate that she did not need to get her hands dirty to exact her revenge and bring justice to the ones who became dear to her like Hyun Nam and Yeo Jung.
In the end, I just wanted Dong Eun and Hyun Nam to be happy since they deserve it. Glad to see that Dong Eun is fulfilling her dream of becoming an architect, is allowing herself to be loved and be taken cared of, and is not afraid to show her scars to the world anymore.
Finally finished Wong Kar-Wai's informal trilogy. Among the three, 2046 stood out to me for it beautifully portrayed unfulfilled love, with its aspirations and regrets.
The quote “Love is all a matter of timing. It’s no good meeting the right person too soon or too late.” perfectly encapsulates the movie.
This movie goes to show how war scars people who have witnessed it firsthand badly, with the emotional damage and trauma perpetuating among their loved ones.

Loved how their friendship/bond means the world to Dako. In the end, nothing can separate Dako, Boku-chan, and Richard apart.

A must-watch for film enthusiasts. Rating: 9/10
