Title A Love Other than Yours Spoiler
WTH is happening? There is SO much to unpack in this drama. I understand that the spark in the FL and ML’s relationship has faded and that she finds excitement in the SML, but her admitting that she wants to sleep with him speaks volumes. Having been in a long term relationship myself, I wanted to relate to her, but I just couldn’t. What she seems to have for the ML is a combination of guilt, emotional attachment, and shared history rather than genuine romantic love. As for the ML and SFL, I don’t think drawing a sketch for someone automatically qualifies as emotional infidelity. What bothers me more is how his fights with the FL barely affect his interactions with the SFL and how he doesn’t think of the FL during the first snowfall. And then the ML asks the FL to see the SML, and she asks him to see the SFL too. What is this mess? I think the FL is genuinely attracted to the SML, which is why she is willing to date him, whereas the ML is asking the SFL out simply to reduce the FL’s guilt. I really hope the ML doesn’t kiss the SFL, and I don’t think he would. I also think the SFL wouldn’t kiss the ML because she seems perceptive enough to understand emotional boundaries. But we never know with this drama. Anything can happen. Honestly, everyone needs therapy, except perhaps the SFL.

Anyways, I expected something realistic and emotionally profound, but these characters are testing my patience. I’ll finish it because I never abandon dramas halfway through, but even if the FL and ML end up together, I still won’t believe they belong together. I believe the ML loves her, but I cannot convince myself that she loves him romantically. Even if she were to die for him, I would still question whether it was genuine love or simply guilt, emotional attachment, and a fear of losing their shared history.

OMG, I am absolutely loving this show. The direction is phenomenal, and every episode feels so incredibly authentic, almost as if I am witnessing real life unfold on screen. The characters feel genuine, and the cliffhangers at the end of each episode are so unconventional and brilliantly executed. What I love most is how the director leaves us with an entire day, sometimes even a whole week, to contemplate what on earth just happened. It is such an immersive experience, and I cannot get enough of it.
If you are running out of K dramas to watch, or even if you are not, please give this one a try.

I think Jung So Min would be perfect for the role of Kang Min Gyeong because, for some reason, her personality feels very similar to Kang Min Gyeong’s character in the web novel. Those who have read the novel would probably understand exactly what I mean.
