Can anyone recommend me more shows like this. I'm not really into BL shows but then again I wouldnt know bcz I…
Thailand has some pretty good shows. For example, Love By Chance, Sotus and Sotus S, 2Moons, Waterboyy and many more. Personally, I really liked Love By Chance and Sotus. I think most people would say that LBC is very cliche, which it is. Sotus had more serious vibes compared to LBC and 2Moons. I also watched Grey Rainbow, a pretty sad story. If you wanna watch this and you're the type to cry easily, I suggest you prepare some tissues.
Korea has Long Time No See, I haven't watched it yet but i heard that it's quite good. Most Korean BL movies have sad endings or just really angsty in general because Korea still isn't very open about the LGBTQ+ community. An example of this would be A Frozen Flower and Night Flight. Most Koreans are homophobic. Many K-idols who have come out as LGBT have either been shunned for who they are or have been dropped from their company. Though a good show would be The Lovers. It's pretty good and pretty cracky as well.
Japan defintely has more BL shows like Takumi-kun, Seven Days, No Touching At All, and Ai No Kotodama. Japan has quite a few good ones, but I could never find myself really invested in them as I am in Thai dramas or Taiwanese BL shows. I think that it's mainly because most Japanese BL shows are movies and not series unlike Thai and Taiwanese shows which are series.
Taiwan has a really popular series which I personally really love. It's called HIStory. Currently, They have HIStory, HIStory2 and this year's HIStory3 which hasn't been released yet. I really love these series as they have very different plots and thought there aren't many episodes, they're still pretty good.
Now, we come to China. Similarly to Korea, they do not have many BL shows as they are also still pretty closed off to the LGBT community. Although, there are some pretty good shows in spite of it all. Counter Attack and Addicted. I really liked these shows even though they had a more heavy theme. There is Love Is More Than A Word and I Love You As A Man which I haven't watched.
There are also a few shows which have been adapted from a BL novel but are forced to not showcase that BL. One of these shows would be Guardian, I've rewatched this multiple times and it never fails to get to me squealing when I watched the characters interact. Guardian was adapted from a novel with the same name by a writer called Priest. There are no known official English versions, but RainbowSe7en on Wattpad has been translating the novel. Love O2O, a pretty famous drama, was supposedly to have a gay couple, Hao Mei and K.O, but it never came to be in the drama as they were only hinted at as more than friends. It's said that there will be a second season, but I personally think that there mght not be one as it has been three years since the drama released.
As for other parts of the world, I'm not sure, I know Amrica has Love, Simon. I'm not sure as i am personally more attracted to the Asian BL shows. Sorry if you wanted to know more of the Western side of things XP
I hope that you found this useful. Sorry for the load of words XDD
