it does seem to be just best friends, but i agree they have crazy chemistry (way more than they have with the women they’re paired with). i’m also getting a lot of chemistry between 2 of the cellmates who are always fighting (from later episodes).

I had to stop watching Weightlifting Fairy KBJ because the whole attitude toward health and weight loss drove me up a wall. When she’s supposed to be a self-possessed athlete, but she does crazy dieting just because she has a crush, and especially when the doctor looked at a healthy, thin woman and told her flat out she could stand to lose weight. If they were making weight such an issue, they should have at least gotten someone who couldn’t be blown over by a slight breeze. The same attitude was a major negative for me in Oh My Venus, although they do a better job of addressing it, regarding an actual illness and health-oriented goals (and, to an extent, making Shin Min Ah look the part).
