i thought they rather didn't remember (it was shot almost 6 months before they watched the footage) and so they were surprised by their own action rather than "it doesn't sound like me" in literal sense.
Or maybe they tried to mitigate how they looked on the show by saying that. It could also be a reaction to embarrassment - for example Jaejin and Jooyoung were very surprised how they acted during their 2nd paradise saying "did we really do that" etc.
I would assume that if the show was scripted, everyone would be less surprised at how the footage turned out.

Also, the show is still edited and produced by the same people, I think that if those remarks were to point out to the scripted nature of the show, they would be excluded from editing in an attempt to hide that fact.

interesting, i had the exact opposite feeling. like they were actually pretty much the same as they were on the show - i didn't really get negative vibes from them on the show to begin with, except from mina sue but even at the reunion she seems to me the same as she was on the island.
the only true disappointment ended up being seungil by completely ghosting mingee.

There is a rumor they did in first half of 2025. but they are too private for us to truly know. Last time HG was indirectly mentioned on Haeun's YT channel was 3/2025 and in an interview 5/2025 HG said something along the lines that they "have decided to not talk about their relationship publicly" so it could mean anything really.

It's not like there was that many of the transfer couples in the first place. S1-S3 had 4 transfer couples in total. but honestly to me S3's Dongjin was just stubborn to go back to his ex which he ended up doing after the show. So technically only 3 couples out of which only S2' Hyungkyu and Haeun were still together as of March 2025 (or so it looked like that from Haeun's YT channel). So I wouldn't say the new couples "don't last" they just don't form in the first place.

It makes sense, how can a real couple form in a setting pretty much out of real everyday life, where you are 24/7 filmed, and one that you share with your and their ex?

Also, S3 and S4 seemed to me cast in a way that the couples would be more inclined to get back together than not. S2 had couples who were broken up for 1-2.5years; while S3 and S4 had couples who were (mostly) broken up for 1-9months.

S3 directly follows the plot established in S2 but compared to S2 it is no longer too messy, does not try to tackle multiple storylines at once, does not introduce million new characters, and in general it's a linear conclusion of the whole thing.

I personally think S1 is the best (plot-vise, pacing-vise, character-vise, even monster-vise), S2 is garbage (I am being harsh but it was really messy), S3 is somewhat okay, considering that it gives a conclusion to S2 (and the whole story) which we have waited for. But like I said, it builds on S2 so it had to follow the established plotline and hence could not compare to S1. Also S1 had that unique charm of everything happening in a confined space and it was rather straight forward, which is no longer a case for S2, S3 but that's just what I really liked about S1.

Honestly I am not sure how to asses S3 because I find S2 bad and they are directly tied to each other.

I wonder why you need to be like this. I actually just finished the whole thing too. When you skip the intro song and the ending credits the episodes are only about 40min. The whole season takes less than 6 hours to watch

I am so confused about the pacing of this show. It doesn't feel like we are at episode 10 in terms of content, more like episode 5. I don't know where I got the impression that there was not that many dates or that many interactions between participants of opposite gender in general. The episodes are almost 2 hours long, but very little actually happens in them. Was this all filmed in a single week? Does anyone else feel the same?

Would you mind me asking why do you think there should be a part 2? To me the whole film seemed pretty straightforward and the ending left no loose threads.

I'd just like to add to the sibling-sacrifice date part of your comment, that not only it was highly improbable that a couple will go on a date but also the fact that only one of the siblings can go implies by default that maximum of 2 couples can go on a date so it really was dumb from the production side, since they cancelled 3 dates without anyone even needing to make a choice.

i can't be 100% certain about it since i started watching midway, but the past few episoudes came out one day each. And there are only 4 episodes left to be subbed (and on viki it says that ep 12 will be available tomorrow)

omg exactly, I am really worried about how it all ends because the messages so far have been very deep and many viewers relate to those messages.

The first episode was an absolute surprise with how good it was. The music and the camerawork is really nice. 20minutes flew by super quick. The actor playing Yu Shi is doing such an amazing job. I am glad there is no stupid unnecessary dramatization of whatever (I was gwtting tired of those). The atmosphere is kinda chill contrary to what the premise says. Oh and their chemistry!!!!

Saying "not hating" and proceeding with a hate comment does not make your statement any less hurtful. It also seems to me that you did not watch the show attentively othervise you would know , that one of the contestants also said the similar thing (that XG does not belong there) and all of the other rappers-mentors. who are respected in the industry, responded with a disagreement.
I do not have anything against you not liking Xiao Gui or his music, but i do think that your choice of wording, specifically "he is below everyone" is a malicious comment which a hardworking guy like XG (regardless of your opinion of his musical abilities) does not deserve.

totaly! the problem i see when it comes to mental health is not that people don't understand but rather that they are not acceptant, they have their own ideas and truths and they are often intolerant or they dismiss/try "solving" the issue

@Benedict i also don't think that the message was meant to be that "only damaged people understand each other" but that the drama so far showed just that. But i agree with what you said
