I’d say it’s a happy ending :)

I don’t usually write comments or reviews for dramas but I just finished watching My Ahjussi and it was so beautiful. This drama is, above all, about humans, and how they can change one another, how much they can love one another. I started watching it for IU since I’m a fan, but ended up falling for the entire cast. It’s slow paced but worth watching. Give it a chance.

You're right, it's not a lighthearted drama. And although being heavy and heartbreaking is also what makes this drama good, it can be draining. Personally, I could never binge-watch it at once like other people did, but I think that's okay. If you end up deciding to watch it, you should take your time.

I'm currently watching this drama and I want to say something I wish I knew before starting to watch it. I won't tag the comment as a spoiler because I think it's something everyone should know before going in, but if you don't want to know, please stop reading. This drama deals with really heavy topics, some of them being sexual assault and suicide. There is no trigger warning and the scenes are explicit. Even though I'm very interested in the story, I had to take a break for a few days because I felt sick. If you can't deal well with these topics either, maybe you should consider putting yourself first. I'm not trying to tell anyone not to watch the drama and definitely not trying to spoil anything, but there are things we deserve to know in order to protect ourselves.

This season does have an open ending because they're releasing season 2 in 2021. It's up to you whether you still want to watch it but I'd really recommend it. The drama is so good it makes me excited for s2 and I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.
