Happy for Seolhyun in this drama, after everything she went through she somehow managed to be able to get back and thrive again. Wishing her all the best moving forward.

Bad ideas should not be understood based on the idea of cultural differences, they should be criticized no matter…
You understand that the grandmother is also the mother of Bom's dad? There's no way that woman doesn't feel conflicted between her own child and her grandchild, which is valid. Also, again her dad is shitty af but he actually did not deliberately wanted to hurt Bom. He was drunk and going after some guy.

Where in the episode did Yeoreum criticized Bom? There was none. She raised her voice to calm her down because at that particular point, no one was able to calm her down. She did not shout at Bom as a means to side w/ the father nor did she ever criticized Bom. She shouted bec the situation is getting messy and her injury might open up if Bom dont stop.

Also... he actually did not try to kill her, her dad was going after someone then Bom tried to stop him. On their struggle w/ a knife on hand, he accidentally cut Bom. I agree that the father is trash. In both the webtoon and the drama, it wasn't deliberate that he "wants" to hurt her.

I think the thing that most commenters here should understand is this drama is in South Korea which is an extremely patriarchal country, and they also have this idea that older people "should be respected" (no wonder when Bom was calling her father jerk, the guy said "he's still your father"). Also, this is Bom's grandmother... GRANDMOTHER of course she has a different thinking. I don't agree with them, but this kind of thing is a reality in SK.

-Where it’s based from doesn’t excuse it’s lazy pacing, especially if it was given context in the webtoon…
The pacing was not lazy at all, to me it was just right as they can finally focus on the "healing process". This drama only has 12 episodes w/ less than an hour each. The webtoon has 140 chapters. I've read the webtoon and they're doing really great in the adaptation so far.

This drama is based on a popular webtoon. Yeoreum moved to countryside. This is the story of her "finding herself" so of course they can't give much focus on every single bad thing that happened to her (but I believe there will be some flashbacks along the story especially w/ her mom). Again story about "finding herself again" not her pain. Seolhyun also did a good job, acting the character out. I have seen many praises about it on Naver. Episode 2 is like the start of her healing, where she finally met Siwan's character Daebeom. Daebeom obv has a problem talking w/ strangers which is caused by a trauma. It will be nice to see how two broken people met and somehow help each other out. So far, for me the drama is good. I dont understand some commenters hate, it's just two episodes. Relax.... and again, this is based from a webtoon.
