People, stop being so dramatic. It’s not like Netflix or Disney+ is employing their own writers to make a K-Drama storyline. Maybe instead of fear mongering, you can cheer on the fact that Korean entertainment is becoming more accessible to the world (which puts more money into the pockets of the creators instead of having everybody watch episodes off of a bootleg site that does nothing for no one). Oh, and newsflash: If K-Dramas start having more seasons, it could be because South Korea wants to try something new! Shocker, right? I have to laugh.
Just read a bit of the webtoon, and the violence is no joke. I hope the story doesn’t get dumbed down for the sake of TV. A content rating of 18+ like in Joseon Exorcist would be perfect for this show!
I actually don't mind the comedy, but it's SO obvious that the writer wanted to recreate Kingdom's success so he threw in demons to make the story a little bit different. "Spiritual" zombies is such an unnecessarily confusing concept that I predict it will lead to a shit ton of plot holes by the end of the show. We'll see... Also, what's the point of exorcism in this show? It seems that the monsters get STRONGER! How useless!
As someone who has been enjoying Vincenzo since episode one, it's hurtful to see a few people still unsure of whether or not they like the show. None of the comedic parts feel lackluster to me because it reminds me of a typical spy comedy. Vincenzo himself acts differently in South Korea than Italy because he is out of his element. Keep in mind that he was drugged and robbed the minute he arrived. I will admit that the FL is a bit annoying so far, but I also understand that we're barely 1/4th into the show and she has a long time to grow and change. The only criticism I can get behind is how roughly scenes are cut. Some of them feel like they should be much longer. That being said, it could be a lot worse. I really encourage everyone to support this show! I'd love to see more K-Dramas at this level of cinematography.
