Kiyoi is mostly a cold hearted person and does not show his feelings at all but in episode 3 you can see that Kiyoi slowly shows his feelings towards Hira even tho he called him "disgusting" he actually didn't really mean it, you can clearly see that Kiyoi smiled every time he was with Hira or every time Kiyoi's friends asked Hari to get them food or drinks you could see that Kiyoi was mad , I know that it looks very harsh how Kiyoi treats Hira but Kiyoi is a person who cannot trust his feelings in anybody at the moment right now (that's what I guess), but my thoughts are saying that after two episodes Kiyoi will love Hira even more than you can think. You're right that it's a toxic relationship but the way you described this series was a bit of an exaggeration or maybe you did not understand Kiyoi's feelings.
