Okay, I’m getting seriously weird vibes from this so-called “wholesome family dynamic.”
The show keeps telling us how close-knit the ML, FL, and the baby are becoming, but never actually shows how they got there. One minute we’re supposed to believe they’re bonding beautifully, and the next minute it’s like ---when did that happen? Did I miss an episode?
Earlier, the baby clearly had anxiety and abandonment issues. And yet… where is the effort from the main leads to actually ease him through that? A few soft looks and background music do not count as emotional development.
The only interaction that felt somewhat genuine was during the picnic. But even that quickly turned into a convenient plot device so the main leads could get closer. Of course they go camping. Of course someone goes missing. Because apparently that’s the only way this show knows how to build tension.
About the FL, don’t get me wrong. I adore my niece and nephew and would happily suffocate them with hugs and kisses. But her interactions with the baby feel… off. Like she cares, sure. But where’s the warmth? The spontaneous affection? It feels more like obligation than genuine attachment. Maybe it’s the acting, maybe it’s the writing—but something’s missing.
The ML, on the other hand, actually feels natural with the baby. Yes, he gets irritated. Yes, he complains. But it feels real. That slightly annoyed yet secretly soft uncle energy? That works. His chemistry with Woo-joo is believable in a way the “forced sweetness” isn’t.
And don’t even get me started on the SML. The man barely acknowledges Woo-joo as a human child. He’s just using the kid as a prop to impress the FL. Like sir, please.
At this point, baby Woo-joo is carrying the entire show on his tiny shoulders and adorable smile. The adults? They’re just lucky he showed up to work.
Just watched ep 3 and honestly I get why are people getting so angry about the drama. Personally I find FL over the acting cute as it suits her character and ML's character is also not cold as per the old CEO trope (yahh he is little bit of dumb and cute ) Also the drama itself is light hearted so it feels refreshing to watch it in between of serious dramas. Definitely gonna continue watching it....
