I will definitely give it a chance even though they changed the entire cast. I watched Snowfall and Ryan Ren's performance in that was OUTSTANDING! I loved the previous cast and their chemistry was on point, but I will watch this version because of Ryan Ren.
Soooo, we're not gonna talk about that confession he made during the interview when he read from a document to get her to sign spontaneously? Cause, dude, that was a confession of love if ever I saw one or heard one. And the way he took care of her after the incident with her father. Then protected her from his parents. I knew when he held her hand in the elevator and wouldn't let go, she was his safe place. He confirmed it in the last scene when he was talking on the phone saying how her quietness was something he sought out. He ain't letting her go. He loves her and needs her too much. And what is the deal he made with In A? Ooooh, but the cliffhanger. Dangit, I don't think I can wait 5 days to see what happens next......😭
I'm glad to see Eddy Geng again. I haven't seen him since TTEOTM. And in a leading role as well. Only on Episode 15 and he's doing a great job as a ML so far. Chemistry between he and the FL is great. I hope to see him in more ML roles in the future. BTW, there is A LOT of kissing in this drama. Not complaining though. I like it. It's nice to see the leads actually be more realistic in how they show affection in a drama for once. So far I'm enjoying it. 🥰
Just one more thing for the day, but I really wish they'd release the OST already! I really love the songs for the OST so far. Haven't heard one yet that I didn't like in this drama and that includes the instrumental background songs they use to set the scene.

Okay, now the grandson of the other one is different. I don't think that one was supposed to work. I don't recall him being mentioned as an adopted grandson, but I wonder if the writers wanted us to assume that was case? Or maybe he is adopted and the writers forgot to mention it? But that one is definitely a head scratcher for me.

The ML is the adopted son of her friend, not his biological son. Cao took the ML's father's place as the general, but people knew the real general's face which is why Cao wore the mask. If you go back to the scene in the jail where they're talking to his father, Cao mentions that even though he's Dai Yu's adopted father, he still thought of him as his own son. So it does work. 🥰
I'm wondering if CuiCui's decision to go back and save Sheng and Miao Miao will somehow soften Yao's heart towards demons a little bit. The look on her face when she saw Cui Cui turn to go save her little brother and Miao Miao spoke VOLUMES. I hope it does so she can accept Sheng in the end cause you know eventually she's going to find out.
I swear Ding Yu Xi is one of the few actors I know that can portray the lost little puppy when his charater's in pain so well. The look Mu Sheng gave Ling Miao Miao after he activated that talisman was so heartbreaking. 😭 He's such an amazing actor.
Daisy Li is paired up with Ye Sheng Jia again. I saw them together in Fortune Writer and was hoping they'd get another drama together. So happy to see it happen. Looking forward to them being together again.
