Overall, I enjoyed that show. What bothered me all the time: J Zeng and O Nana were quite hateful towards Yichun, while Xindi was made into a queen. For sure if I were the show's producer I would not invite them to host the show anymore. They're both incompetent. I had no problem with the cast, they were all quite unique characters. They had good dates too. They were in beautiful places, I envied them for that.
I recently heard that Copper has been getting s lot of hate for playing Jin and I just genuinely felt so bad for…
If you read the comments here or on twitter, quite a lot of people have got carried away with this story. Some people don't know the difference between person/actor-character or story-real life. And let's also add that a lot of people didn't like TaCopper's pairing, I guess everyone knows that because of who. I personally would be happy if Copper actually left this company, because he is very talented and will only get better with time. Whether as a model or an actor or both, he's going to stand his ground. I watched this series just for Copper and Mio, both were fantastic.
I have also read many places that use the terms psychopath and stalker for Kwangtae and HW. They use these terms…
Well, as I see it, many Koreans make a problem out of an age difference of 2-3 years, especially if the woman is older. Maybe KW was more interested in YJ all along, but it's also for sure that he didn't realize that she didn't like him. There are many people like this who can't read situations, gestures, tone of voice and only understand when they are told " sorry but I'm not interested in you". In addition, KW-YJ's last date when they went out to eat was a bit confusing because YJ didn't reject him outright, but talked about not being sure of her feelings. It's so hard to tell someone you've known for about 10 days that I don't want anything from you, I just see you as a friend! That's the biggest problem with all the couples on this show: they don't communicate and they don't face uncomfortable situations and say what they really think. Of course, it's hard when they know they're going to be judged in many countries.
Rewatching it i just realized whats kwangtae's type, a woman that doesn't really like him!! I mean his ex didn't…
I have also read many places that use the terms psychopath and stalker for Kwangtae and HW. They use these terms thrown around very easily. KW has done nothing to be called that. Sure he is quite immature and acting like a player, he has done many criticizable things, but he is not a psychopath. Probably his interest in Sk waned when he found out she was much older than him, I guess that means a lot in Korea. He then turned to YJ, who I gather has the same personality as his ex. He seems to be into cold women, which sucks for him because his love language is words and touch. KW checking out YJ's room is normal because he's interested in her. The problem is that he doesn't realize that YJ isn't interested in him. Again, the communication...YJ hasn't once said to him, " Sorry, but I'm not really interested in you."
The way Hwihyun says "I don't text people who I don't think will text me" but LITERALLY 2 seconds later says "I…
As much as they hated HH before, they have started to glorify him, just because of HW's actions and words. What he did and said before, they seem to have forgotten. I don't hate him, but I don't like his immature behaviour either...he talks in a jumble. At one point he says he never cried about his ex, then later he talks about how the letter from his ex made him cry. Then he talks about how after the first day he stopped caring about the exe because she didn't write to him, but when he talks to HW, he doesn't tell her the same thing, but keeps leading him on and is unable to categorically state "I don't want anything from you anymore". At the end of episode 13, we saw the same thing again: during their interview he explains that he is only interested in SK, but he tells HW that there is still a week and he hasn't made a decision and they should go on a date. Some people can never take on the weight of a decision, they delay or wait for others to do it for them. Many people don't see that the whole HH-HW drama was mainly caused by HH's ambiguous behaviour, because if he didn't want HW after the first day as he said, he would have had more opportunities to make that clear to HW, either verbally or in a message, as DJ did with DH.
Woah! This week was strong. I thought that the contestants this season are more about ex union but they all have…
I agree with you on HW. So many people hate her now on various forums. If HH had firmly refused she could have moved on. She expected this from him in episode 13, but HH backed out again and "needs 1 week to make a decision and date the two of them". All he had to say was "I don't want anything from you anymore, SK is all I care about. You move on"" But now HW became the second option and she's going to fall for him again. But Jeju's date with DJ was so good.
Me too. I have a soft for HH. I find him ignorant rather than obnoxious (unpleasant). I find that most of the…
Noooo. I don't like to see HH-HW get together. The two of them together are a disaster, they can't communicate, they have a different love language and HW needs to break away from this "first love" to finally find her own values, build herself up.

3 weeks to go, I think the episodes will be long....because there will be MH-SK and DJ-JE date; fights; date choosing each other (exes) ; Truth game; date with ex; pre-choice conversation; choice. Plus other happenings, At least in S2 these were on Jeju Island. That seems a bit much....something to leave out.
I had an "Alchemy of Souls" week. I watched both seasons.
The first season was phenomenal: the actors were all very good, even the supporting cast. I loved the story, the costumes and the music. The story was dynamic and exciting through all 20 episodes. The chemistry between FL and ML was very good and both main characters were fantastic.
After watching the two seasons, you can see that the success of the first season set the stage for the success of the second season. For me, the second season was not as enjoyable. I'm glad it was only 10 episodes, not sure I would have watched it if it was 20 episodes or just the last two. The story got kind of flat and boring. Mu Deok was replaced by Naksu and I got a new actress. I didn't have any problem with that, because that's how the first season started in the first episode. However, the new actress was a huge disappointment for me, she tried but somehow failed to capture the essence of the character. Of course these are just my feelings, many people liked her performance. The first season is 10/10 for me, but the second season is 7/10.

Overall I enjoyed this more than the previous season, maybe because they were older and there were only 5 episodes. All of the characters were cute, of course they all had flaws -for example SJ: too aggressive; KE: conflict-averse. The two couples who were a good fit got together at the end of the show, although only one has dated since. However as I saw the pictures on their instagram I think KE and JR are seeing each other because they are sitting next to each other in all the pictures...maybe they don't want to make it public and I understand them. I really liked all the guys in season 2. 1. the soldier guy was a real face, funny in his own way and I liked that he was trying in his understated way all the way through. 2. JR- I really liked how once he found out who he really liked he didn't bother with the other girls, he just sent messages to KE. 3. NW- funny guy, although a bit pushy for me 4. the fourth guy I don't know his name - he had very little screen time, seemed a bit like he wasn't really interested in any of the girls. I found him interesting and cute.
before diving into this one, can someone tell me please if the acting is good? I know most of those guys are boc…
I liked 3 actors. I really like the guys playing Jin and Tan, especially Jin. There is great potential in these two, I hope their company will realize it in time. I find the guy playing Non a bit overrated. I know a lot of people are crazy about him, but the only scenes I like him are the crying scenes. The others need to improve.
I had no problem with the cast, they were all quite unique characters. They had good dates too. They were in beautiful places, I envied them for that.
