Is YPJ genuinely losing her intelligence, or is she losing her ability to think objectively because she's emotionally…
I honestly think her mother has a lot of influence over her, to the point where she’s almost being manipulated by her. Her mother’s opinion matters way too much to her, and she even warned her about the YU family. Maybe it has something to do with their family history and everything the two of them have been through together.
Also, when PJ tells her mother what happened at Maple Manor, her mother is only concerned about what XT will think, not how PJ feels about the whole situation… And when she tells her to follow her heart, I actually think she means XT.
It could also be that her character just isn’t as fleshed out as his, which might explain why her feelings are harder to read. But one thing I’m pretty sure about is that she’s been in love with him from the very beginning. She just hasn’t admitted it to herself yet.
The way this man is getting redeemed is INSANE. He’s actually got me questioning whether he’s a red flag anymore. Huge props to the writers! Cheng Lei, THE man that you are!!! No other actor could’ve had us switching sides this fast. They’re definitely whitewashing his character compared to what I’ve heard about the original novel (I haven’t read it myself), and honestly? I’m HERE for it. Turns out we’re all suckers for a man who’s down horrendous and willing to beg for crumbs.
Did you think she actually tried to take her life or did she cut just enough so he would let her go? I'm kind…
I want to believe you’re right, that it’s the second one. I think she’s liked him from the very beginning, but her insecurities and the fact that she thinks he’s just playing games with her made her act the way she did. I wish we got to see more of what goes on in her head and why she does the things she does. I think we all know what kind of relationships we don’t want in real life, but this is fiction, after all. So let’s just enjoy this guilty pleasure! 😂
Her behavior leaves me speechless. She tries to take her own life because of him, and now she goes looking for him? I understand that misunderstandings are part of the plot. She now thinks it was all just a game to him, and I can understand that he’s hurt. He’s partly to blame for not being honest. And through all of this, he still hasn’t broken things off with his fiancée.
I have a theory: she’s going to try to take her own life (in the opening, there’s a scene where she’s next to a bathtub with red liquid…), and that’s what will make him snap out of it and set her free. Maybe there’ll be a time skip, and they’ll meet again later, which is when she’ll fall for him. I honestly can’t think of any other way this could go, because the whole amnesia trope would be way too much of a red flag. I highly doubt Ryan Chen would have taken this role if his character didn’t have a proper redemption arc and some real character development.
Me encanta Arthur Chen.
