This comment is incredibly discrimatory and invalidates anyone of mixed race.
you've strayed so far away from the point i made... we were talking about a thai-british actress, who is biracial and was born in thailand, starring in an asian drama. you claimed you didn't understand why, saying she was a white person. then i said two things:
1) she is, in fact not white. it's not because you, personally, think someone looks "too white" to be asian, that they are not asian. that is actually adressed in the very beginning of the show.
2) there are people who are, in fact, actually white (or black, or brown) who live in thailand, some were born there. and they should be able to act in thai dramas, even if they don't "look asian", according to your point of view. there is a diference between ethnicity and nationality, which you might also be interested in looking into.
about the examples you presented, no, being .4% japanese doesn't make you japanese, obviously. but my original point, that you apparently misunderstood, was: you can't always tell if someone is 5% thai, or 50% thai, just by looking at them. ethnicity is not that simple. for instance, if a thai person and a british person have two children, one might present more traditionally asian features, while the other, more traditionally european features. both children would still be thai and british.
and the random example of the piewdiepie kid, we once again fall into the difference between ethnicity and nationality. if they're born in japan, their nationality is japanese. they might even get a dual citizenship, meaning they'd have more than one nationality! and yes, they will continue to be white, but if they chose, in the future, to act in a japanese drama, they could! acting doesn't actually require you to be a certain ethnicity OR nationality!
jut to be clear, i don't mean to attack you in any way, jut maybe present a few concepts which you might not be familiar with. maybe you could rethink your original remark, which was quite unfortunate. we can stop this discussion now, if you want.
it really is... apparently she was receiving a lot of hate messages, and has chronic health problems. she is a very sweet person and has a lot of love for this project. i was so shocked when i saw the news :((

right? such a weird thing to say. it also disregards that there are people of multiple ethnicities and nationalities living in thailand. whether they're black, brown or white, if they can act why shouldn't they? to think that all people in asian countries should fit into your personal definition of what asian people look like is, at the very least, uneducated.
god this made me cringe. Don't know why a white girl is playing the main character in an ASIAN drama. she looks…
well, the actress' father is british and her mother is thai. she was born in thailand and lived there her whole life, as far as i'm aware, and thai is her first language. so why shouldn't she be a lead on a thai drama? that part of your comment makes no sense. maybe you could do some research on biracial/multiracial people. the rest is your opinion i guess.
she makes my heart flutter, ≥75℃, our relationship ended before it started and now you are the cream in my coffee... apparently if you're looking for a girlfriend you can simply open a coffee shop!! seriously though, i love this type of story. if there are 20 more, i will watch all of them.
Didn't Love say they were starting filming this month? A bit worried that the director might be feeling a bit…
true, i saw that. but Love is also filming home school, right? i thought maybe because of that, 23.5 filming could be delayed a bit... i hadnt realized that the director for both series was also the same, but taking that into account, i think its even more possible that 23.5 might take a bit longer to start filming. in the end, i think it's better to prioritize the actor's and director's health (but i can't lie, part of me wishes filming would start right away).
im sure the series will be successful regardless! not only it features an already established, popular gmm pair like Milklove, it's also sure to attract viewers who never watched thai dramas, but are interested in sapphic representation (which, as we saw recently with other gl dramas, is a very expressive number of people). it has all the ingredients to be a huge hit. let's just hope that the crew does their best possible job!!
Yes! Off track, but I've always thought gl would be financially more beneficial had they been popular, thai industry…
lmao sorry, i see your point! ive noticed the amount of product placement already, i find it funny too. and it really is more believable to see a girl applying micellar water and such 😂
