I ALSO LOVE THAT THEY ACTUALLY USED THE WORD LESBIAN, AND IT WAS ONE OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS SAYING IT PROUDLY (i just hope they didn't drop the shasha x bambi storyline and simply couldn't fit it in the trailer)
im really glad the company actually did something to adress the assault that they played off as "romantic". but at the same time, i see series like poisonous love, which is arguably even worse, getting praised left and right (it has an 8.3 rating). i never saw people saying they dropped that series, for instance, and the assault scene was never edited out of that episode. it feels a bit like some people tend to turn a blind eye when it's their favorite series. im not saying people shouldnt enjoy series with problematic elements, but i hope we can keep up the energy to call out messed up (and sometimes criminal) issues, since we learned from this incident that we can actually make a difference. and most of all, i hope all companies (not only change) pay attention and do better in the future, non consensual kisses/touches are way more prevalent in gls than they should be (and the worst part is that they never get called out in the series)
one thing i don't understand about gmm since 23.5 days is why they keep fans guessing the release dates for their series. if they already have a set release date for the trailers and episodes, even if it's like, 1 month away, why not share it? this way fans would stop getting their hopes up and getting disappointed over and over again, and i believe would help build anticipation instead of just dropping the trailer without warning and then the series a couple weeks later. i have a feeling it's because they're constantly changing the date internally and don't announce it so they don't have to justify themselves everytime, but thats just a complete lack of organization from the company's part. (just to make it clear, im exclusively criticizing the company. im well aware that the production team and the actresses themselves have nothing to do with any of this)
