I skipped most of Jamie and SW scenes lol,I found absolutely nothing interesting about their interactions although…
I totally agree! I think Carson did great and I hope she continues to get more than part-timer at roles lol

I liked Hans too lol, his scenes were great! I feel like he brought a certain brand of humor to things that you just wouldn't get with the other characters. Him getting with the creditor lady for instance lol. That wouldn't have had nearly the same impact with anyone else. Joakim brought a lot to the character, even if some people say he was stiff.

I honestly loved this show! I know a lot of people complain about the laugh track but you guys have to keep in…
Anyway, Carson, Terris, Sam/Youngjae, and Hyunmin really stole the show for me. Which is GREAT because I watched this for those four exclusively. Hans was good and Minnie was awesome too, but her Koreaboo character was so cringe that I had to pause to get through her scenes quite often lol. We could have done without Se Wan and Jamie but I know they wanted to highlight native Korean characters too, it is a Korean show afterall. I just wish they'd have given them the same treatment as everyone else: surface level depth and a lot of nonsense. OR given everyone else the same treatment as them.

I honestly loved this show! I know a lot of people complain about the laugh track but you guys have to keep in mind that it's a sitcom and not just an everyday drama. That can be applied to a lot of aspects tbh: the ridiculous humor, the cringey moments, etc. I will say that I absolutely hated Jamie and Se Wan's characters and relationship. They both felt very unnecessary (felt exactly like meeting the quota for native Korean characters) and I would have been happy with just everyone else and their hijinks, so that's how I watched it lol. because imo, if JamiexSW were going to get this depth in their backgrounds and romance, I would have liked to see that for everyone in the main cast but I digress. So, I simply ignored them and fast-forwarded through all of their solo/pair scenes just to get to the nonsense from everyone else. The celebrity cameos were great (Jinwoon and Yoon Jong Shin especially!) and I was pleasantly surprised to see Prae and Miki in the show as regular supporting cast members since I love them. Both the diversity and the LGBTQ+ representation were extremely refreshing. As a black person in the LGBTQ+ community, it was nice to have three prominent black characters with significant lines, one with an important character arc, and a whole slew of brown poc in the background of scenes. It's understandable that people would hate this but it's honestly leaps and bounds while still being true to the innate nature of the kind of sitcoms South Korean people find enjoyable.
